R/R/CS: I went to lunch yesterday with a pregnant friend who asked when we were going to start trying. I said 6 months ago and got the "don't stress about it" speech. Glad it only took her 6 weeks. I'm just now getting ok about it taking this long but I almost cried over my burrito.
GTKY: what was the last thing you watched on TV/Netflix? We watched celebrity apprentice and the mindy project last night.
I believe crying over burritos is a bannable offense.
Jk. I feel your pain tho. *hugs* we all need to leave to be a little more patient and not let other people's fertility effect us so much (this is what DH tells me all the time).
What are you doing to get KU? All the things. Hoping to get some serious sexy time in around Valentine's Day.
R/R/CS: Nada right now.
GTKY: what was the last thing you watched on TV/Netflix? I think it was Breaking Bad. DH and started watching the series. We have to get with the times!
What are you doing to get KU?: BBT, pnv's, going to start lots of sex tonight, hopefully!
R/R/CS: Nothing really. I do think it's cool that I've built up enough chart history on FF that I can now compare my temps at certain cycle days and see that even though they may look super low or high to me, it's pretty standard compared to previous months! I guess I'm just raving about how amazing FF is
GTKY: what was the last thing you watched on TV/Netflix? Finally watched American Hustle about a month ago, and recently started binging on OITNB. I don't use Netflix very much.
What are you doing to get KU? BBT, CM, CP, B6, PNV, sex before my trip, more when I get home
R/R/CS: As expected, my temps are all over from taking at different times/travel/sickness. If I do O this week, I think it'll be hard to pinpoint. We'll see.
Separate: I leave for 4 days and DD gets sick. DH & my mom (who babysits) said she was completely not herself yesterday. She's never had a real fever, and last night spiked 102.6. DH said she slept okay and is down to 101.2 this morning, so that's good, but I hate that I'm not there and can't hold her. She's only ever had colds, and is always such a trooper. I feel so awful being away.
GTKY: what was the last thing you watched on TV/Netflix? House Hunters Where Are They Now
R/R: Last month was the first that I was temping and I Oed on CD 24. Hoping it's the same or similar this cycle... I just don't want it to be even longer. But I know it could be. Womp.
GTKY: We just started watching Parenthood after multiple people recommended it! It's good. And there aren't any babies-just older kids going through jerk-y phases for now- so it's not depressing to watch while trying to conceive... at least not yet.
Cycle/Month:1 (after 11 months NTNP waiting for cycles to return postpartum)
CD: 4
What are you doing to get KU? not much for a few more days here
GTKY: what was the last thing you watched on TV/Netflix? physiomeg +1 for Gilmore Girls, although I'm only on my 3rd time through. Also, fingers crossed that temp means this is a shorter cycle for you!
R/R/CS: excited about getting a fresh batch of opks in the mail. Amazon is my best friend and I love buying new things! Plus my temps are finally looking normal this cycle, if that even means anything.
GTKY: what was the last thing you watched on TV/Netflix? TV: Matrix Netflix: Friends
rooskie Sorry about your friend! I have done my best to tell my closest friends what does and does not help, but that's only after SO MANY repeated offenses. I don't know how many times I can tell people "Actually, you need to have sex to get pregnant AND at a specific time of the cycle," before they understand.
Also, do all shows I watch need to impregnate the main characters this season?
I know this topic comes up a lot, but I feel (I'm trying to feel...?) like I've had a full circle moment overall with the "when are you going to have a baby" thing. Of all the things we, as a society, ask our loved ones or even strangers, I've come to believe - or want to believe - that people are mostly asking from a place of love regarding having a baby. It's a demographically appropriate question, I suppose, and I want to believe that people just want me to share in their joy or bond with them over this life stage. I realize it's often the insensitive comments that come from my response that grind my gears (like what rooksie had to hear), but I also am not sure what I'd always prefer instead? If I respond to their baby related question, it's appropriate for the person I'm talking to to speak next, so they have to say something. I'm not sure if this is coming out right, but I just want to offer that I sympathize that this is such a difficult time for us when we're doing all of the right things, and it still isn't working out. I'm the only one I know of my friends and family without a child, too. I just don't think so many loved ones are trying to offend (but psh, yeah some are.)
Ray sorry about the Pop Tarts. My dog cannot handle hamburger. He turns into an evil ass when there's hamburger around and we have to be very careful. Everything else he ignore. Jerk.

Cycle: 2
CD: 8
What are you doing to get KU? All the things! Currently sipping green tea and pondering whether I can get a short walk in before my next meeting.
R/R/CS: Not really much today, tbh.
GTKY: what was the last thing you watched on TV/Netflix?
The last thing watched on Netflix would be Curious George. The last thing *I* watched was Death Comes to Pemberly. For about half an hour until naptime was over and demands for Curious George began.
The last thing on TV would be whatever my mom was watching last night. NCIS, maybe? I wasn't paying loads of attention, honestly.
Hello ladies! This thread has been moving so quickly the past week or so that I'm just glad I got in here before it was four pages long! Sorry to everyone who's just started a new cycle. I've got my FX that your cycle is coming soon. For those who are nearing O (or hoping to be near O), FX for you all, as well!
Cycle/Month: 3/3
CD: 12
What are you doing to get KU? BBT, OPKs, this month feels a little more like NTNP, to be honest.
R/R/CS: All of our paperwork for our foster care license is finished. Holy cow. Our fingerprints will be done next Friday. Our training will be complete on April 15. Our home study should be final sometime at the beginning of May. We could have a placement before Mother's Day. Good gracious! I'm really excited.
GTKY: What was the last thing you watched on TV/Netflix? The West Wing
Ray sorry about the Pop Tarts. My dog cannot handle hamburger. He turns into an evil ass when there's hamburger around and we have to be very careful. Everything else he ignore. Jerk.
Thanks! She did the "don't try those ovulation tests, it makes it harder"....umm no. I just ordered my first box of wofondos and I'm looking forward to it.
Sorry you had to hear her say all those things I've only talked to two people IRL about TTC, and I chose them because they both had problems themselves (one only about 8 months, so not out of the normal range, but the other took almost 4 years) so they totally understand (and both directed me to OPK tests). I really dread having to ever discuss it with anyone else IRL. Hang in there and FX that you find the wondfos helpful!
R/R/CS: Temp spike this morning, but not sure if it's because of O or because of the shitty sleep I got. So, during sexytime last night, DH finishes and immediately was like that felt different. 99% sure he had an orgasm without ejaculating. I cannot even remember the last time this has happened. Awesome... not!
GTKY: what was the last thing you watched on TV/Netflix? Watched Gotham on the DVR last night. Last watched on Netflix was 11 episodes of Parenthood last Saturday.
What are you doing to get KU? BBT, OPKs, PNVs and folic acid, sex
R/R/CS: My temp seems to have jumped up starting yesterday and today I got my 4th positive OPK and I'm wondering if that's within normal range.
GTKY: What was the last thing you watched on TV/Netflix? Parenthood on Hulu, I'm finally in the final season. Either Supernatural or Sherlock on Netflix.
Ray Sorry about the poptarts, my dog would have knocked the poptarts onto the floor just to get at the paper towel underneath.
adelbert I hope you O earlier than expected so you get at least decent timing in this cycle.
roastytoasty my H did the same thing, except I was already in season 2 and he made me go back and rewatch with him.
Sparkly I hope your daughter gets better quickly, and I'm sorry you're away from her while she's sick.
Thanks! She did the "don't try those ovulation tests, it makes it harder"....umm no. I just ordered my first box of wofondos and I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks! I had just opened up to another work friend who I know had problems and she said go with opks. So I thought I would be able to talk to someone else. Oh well. I wish we didn't have to go back to work so I could have had a margarita!
Married DH 09/21/13 BCP 08/08-02/12, 01/13-08/14 Paragard 02/16-? TTC#1 August '14 1st BFP 3/9/15! EDD: 11/17/15 Emma Rose born 11/26/15 (Thanksgiving!)
What are you doing to get KU? Started with the sex last night after a longer than usual (for me) period. BBT, OPKs, gonna have some green tea this afternoon.
R/R/CS: Nada.
GTKY: what was the last thing you watched on TV/Netflix? I watched 50 First Dates on Saturday night. I rented Blended earlier that day and it was so so awful that I had to remember a time when Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore made a good movie.
