Tomorrow will be 41 weeks and NST. Is anyone else having trouble walking? I can only shuffle to walk, anything else hurts.
I did dance my butt off the other night in attempts to start something. I had contractions for a few hours about 3 hours after dancing but as soon as I got to L&D they petered out.
My hip flexers/groin area is a mess. Weirdly not too bad walking but rolling over in bed, trying to get comfy laying or getting up from a lay down position is very painful. I've been having a bath every night and using a heating pad for temporary relief. Yesterday they were bad enough I wanted to cry.
I have been doing long soaks in the bath as well and trying to put many pillows between. With the hips, have you tried taking a scarf and tying it around your hips and pulling? I had to do this when pg with DS. It worked well.
Walking is tough because she is SO LOW. It feels like she might fall out. It gets particularly tough when I've been sitting for awhile at my desk and then get up.
When I was at L&D, I told them how it felt like maybe her head was in my pelvis. They did an U/S and sure enough she was shaking her head in my pelvis. It really does feel like she will fall out.
Is this your first? Dd#1 didn't drop before labour. After your first you often don't drop until labour either.
Yep, my first. I didn't know that. Maybe there's hope then that I won't be pregnant forever!
I never dropped with any of my kids until labor. That said, I was induced all 3 times for different reasons.... but once in labor they figure out what to do.

Yeah. Picking my feet up to walk is super painful. Some days are worse than others though. Hopefully you won't have to wait much longer to get some relief! I have SPD, and I read that a few days pp everything is back to normal. With sciatica, I felt 100% better a before I even made it to the pp floor!

At the doctor right now. Just finished my u/s. I lost 4 lbs, my fluid level is low, I have an 8lb+ baby who is sluggish... But with a strong HB, and my placenta seems to be functioning well.
Mixed emotions. Hurry up doc, please don't leave me here 1/2 naked with my thoughts running away.
Still 3 cm. she calmed me down and swept my membranes. Ow. Induction scheduled for 3/31.
I'm glad she was able to give you a date!
Me too! But she emphasized that I may or may not have a baby that day. I'm supposed to call at 4:30am and verify that they have room for me. They may not. I hope so!!!

Yeah, that's what I had to do with my kids. Once they had me call back later a couple times to check if I could come in and I got pushed to the next day. The other time I just got pushed to a later time slot in the day. You're still close and they'll get you in around that day!
That actually reminds me. We had an u/s last week, and now my midwife is trying to talk me into an early induction because of his estimated size. He's healthy and I'm healthy, so I'm thinking a whole lot of NOPE on that.
Stick with NOPE. it's very rare that size is an actual problem and requires early delivery.

My amniotic fluid is a little on the high side (still within normal ranges, just on the higher end), and in the same breath she said she wanted to schedule an induction at 39w, she said she's seen growth measurements skewed high by extra fluid. There's literally no medical reason to induce me early.
My AF blew the normal ranges out of the water. I think the high end is 25 and I was a 29. In the last few weeks when your AF is supposed to be decreasing mine was still increasing. At no time did my doctor suggest induction because of the fluid. In fact she said i could keep going longer if i wanted to. We did talk about it because of my gestational hypertension and my BP kept creeping higher each week.
I would flat out tell her no unless she can prove why it would be medically necessary.

It's such an awful date though. Not the 31st itself, but it means (probably) coming home from the hospital the day my big kids come home from visitation. Nothing like amped up kids the DAY I'm coming home. I honestly wished I could have chosen the following Monday (4th) because then they would be settled back into their routine a little. But you need approval from the doc on call that day. Which would not be who I saw today.
But at least it's a date.
Going on my own would be great. How about now?? How about Easter?? (After the egg hunt!) How about ANY day before Thurs???

How big? *curious* I got an estimated size of 8lbs 3oz today.

At 36 weeks, they said he could be 8lbs 2oz. His head measured in the 97th percentile, 90th overall. He's not going to be a petite little thing, for sure. But I don't think that's reason enough to induce early.
Since there is a decent margin of error there, totally agree. Not like you're looking at 11-12lbs, lol.
I was surprised today at the doctor that I'm already 3cm! Tiny little contractions too. I have an induction scheduled for next Friday (41w) just in case but it will probably be before then, yay!
