Kristykristyleelee I feel you pain. Today will be gorgeous here too. DNW to be stuck in my classroom with no windows. Atleast B will get to enjoy the outside at his sitter's house.
We are starting swim lessons on Saturday and I am really looking forward to them. The only sucky part is that they fall during B's typical morning nap time. I'm hoping I can keep him awake until after the lesson and then he can crash afterward. We'll see..

Good morning. I'm supposed to book a wine tour for my friends bachelorette party in July. Problem is her sister wants her to cancel her destination wedding in St. Marten because of Zika. I guess we can still do the tour??
I read an interesting article about the benefits of intermittent fasting, and was contemplating trying the 5:2 diet. It was written by a researcher, and denotes eating typically for 5 days, and only 500 calories for 2 days. Nothing has worked in terms of dieting for me since the baby. Is it crazy to give this a shot? I could just eat a shitloads of egg whites on those days, right?

DH got a call to schedule an interview yesterday. He's really excited about this job which is nice to see, so if anyone can spare to send some positive thoughts our way on Tuesday it would be much appreciated:)
@holliberry that's an interesting diet! I've never heard of it, but at this point I may give it a shot too. I've been trying to eat more protein and have seen some difference on the scale along with walking!
It's supposed to rain on and off all day here too! So we might go to Kohls to return some things and I would love to get out for a walk if we could! Yesterday DD had an ultrasound and everything was perfect, so we're super excited for that! Hope everyone has a great day!
500 calories is starvation level, holliberry28. Think about how you'd be able to function on that. I know it's hard to have extra weight and have nothing work (believe me, I do!), but I read about that and it just does not seem safe at all.

carrots and kemdupuis our first session of swim lessons was during nap time too. We left the house ~15 minutes early and she would fall asleep in the car so she would get about a 20ish minute catnap before getting in the water. It wa a enough to hold her over until after class and she would CRASH. It was kinda nice to know she would always take a good nap after swimming! Your little guys are going to love it:)

I'll def do some more reading but I was intrigued because you could still get veggies/protein in on those fasting days.

mrsmonogrammed good luck to your husband! Also, I went onto Honest Co for our diaper order and saw the new spring prints! I love the macaroons! We only picked 3 prints to be delivered this month - the macaroons, Eiffel tower, and dogs!
Not to mention, when you go back to eating normally, your body is going to want to hold onto calories because you just shocked it into starvation.
Sorry, fad diets just get me. I know way too many people that have jumped on those trains and have wound up weighing more than they did before or with some other kind of health problem.

I have my FX:) it's funny you should mention ordering Honest diapers, I was just on there yesterday but I wasn't super impressed with the new spring line...maybe because I've never eaten a macaroon? Good morning! It's my Friday as well, and DS seems to be on the upswing, so things are looking good for us. Re: Honest diapers - I wanted to order the banana print for our last bundle, and DH was very against it. He said bananas on a little boys diapers were weird. I am of the opinion that H is weird. Also, holliberry28, I'm going to agree with erbear on not liking fad diets. Personally I think most don't work, and and worst can be dangerous to your health. I've been trying to take a portion of food I normally would, but then put some back - so I'm eating exactly what I do normally, just less. I've only dropped 2 lbs so far, but it's a start. Also hoping that now that the weather seems to be turning for the better getting outside and walking more will help as well.

Another night of waking up more times than I can count.. Im at a point where I just feel like something must be really WRONG. We've talked about sleep at every ped visit but it always ends up getting attributed to me sucking at routines and/or my own insomnia issues, both of which have been much better yet her sleep is still a fucking disaster. All I care to ask her ped at this point at her 9 month visit is how the hell to get her to stay asleep!!!
Whew other than being a zombie today I'll be cleaning the house, applying for jobs, putting a package of baby stuff in the mail to my friend who is fostering a newborn girl, and hopefully getting a walk in ifnit doesn't rain too much
Good luck to mr. monogrammed! B was up at 530 this morning and is now going down for her 1st nap. Today's schedule is screwed. We went to register for swimming lessons last night and waiting an hour and half and my number still wasn't called so we left. I will have to try calling to see if we can still get in this morning.
Last week I mentioned DDs lower molars looked swollen and had some spots on them. Well yesterday late in the day she became miserable and was crying with her mouth open so wide I could see it...the dark spot of doom on her gums. She's cutting her one year molars and hating it and my heart is hurting for her so bad. The only time I've seen her smile so far today was when DS came running into our room when he woke up. We told him she's having a bad day and he kissed her. Hope lots of Tylenol, Advil, and coffee for me can get us through the next few days.

Have you ever met with a nutritionist? I saw one a few years ago, and she guided me on specific foods that would trigger me for my thyroid and autoimmune issues, and good foods to eat that would promote weight loss specifically for me.
I have many years ago. I just can't imagine what they could say that would be novel. Don't eat carbs/sugar/etc??
Morning! Today is my Friday too, so there's that. Just work and then the gym later, that's about all the motivation I have for today. I woke up feeling gross, not sick, just AF type symptoms, I'm sure she's on her way for a visit. This will be the second one I've had and am already not a fan.

Maybe it was helpful because of my health issues, but for me, she told me that typically people with some of my health issues have difficulty with carbs, so gave me a limit that was lower than the typical recommendation (but not low-carb) and also told me to avoid trigger foods. When I was really strict about it, I did lose weight and felt better than usual. My problem now is nursing; when following the protocol my supply tanked. I'm hoping to stick to it better once I wean.

Also wanted to add I'm sorry you're not feeling well, @jemomma. I'm currently pretending I don't have a sore throat after DS coughed all over me the other night because I don't want to deal with him on my own while sick tomorrow. I can't imagine having three times the kids and three times the days. Sending all the happy, caffeinated, vitamin-C filled vibes your way. I hear whiskey with honey and lemon works well for colds though tiffbot, + 1 to not believing your baby already has molars coming in! DS took for.ev.er. to get his two bottom teeth in. He's been drooling more again later, so I'm expecting tooth #3 and 4 to be here in about five months.
I took the baby out to lunch with friends. She had a whale of a time and ate her head off, and then fell asleep about an hour earlier than usual. Fine, no big deal. She woke up after half an hour and is now napping at her usual time! I'll have to wake her before too long as H is skiving work for an hour so that we can look at a house.

In more fun news, I plan on taking the kids to the school at 11 for an play day the grade 10-12s are putting on for kids ages 0-5. Our town has been involved in a get active challenge all month and we've had to log activity minutes online (anything-from snow shoveling to running to playing) and whichever town wins gets $10,000! Today is the final day to log minutes so pushing lots of fun stuff, great for the students to organize and great for the little ones! They took the standings down yesterday afternoon to keep us in mystery but we've been doing well, and they announce the winner next week!
