I can't believe we have people in here who are in the third trimester. I know I'm not there yet, but this is still blowing my mind. Didn't well all just find out we are pregnant??

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I have bronchitis but apparently I was presenting like an asthmatic and been having bronchspasms since yesterday. I had a neb treatment with albuterol and I feel so much better. I can breath again! I can handle the aches and pains and even the cough to an extent, but an almost constant cough and trouble breathing is not ok.

Flair Underwood, it really depends more on my personal financial situation. In my early-mid 20s it was around $50, then late 20s it was around $75 and now it's around $100. I'm a firm believer in you should do what you can afford and don't feel pressured to spend more than you can.
I know that part of the issue is that it's the first week of me wearing flats for the season, so I always have to get over that hump of omg, blisters and uncomfortableness, but I've spent most of my work day looking for comfy shoes to get me through this pregnancy. I think with the extra weight and likelihood of swelling in the future, I should have some shoes with better support. Anything you guys couldn't live without for pregnancy feet?

Honestly, I lived in my Birkenstocks and an ugly pair of Crocs flip flops during my last pregnancy. As for this one, I'm still on the hunt for cute and supportive flats.
Also - has anyone else found any compression leggings or tights that work? This varicose vein situation is out of control.

These are my favorite shoes...I'm not sure how work appropriate they are. I have 2 pairs and I love them. They stretch with your feet, then you can throw them in the washer, and let them dry and the tighten up again.

Just had a working mom realization moment. My nanny gave us notice at least two months ago about a couple days she needs off this month. I started tailoring my schedule immediately to take these days off work. Just today I realized, hey, maybe I should ask my husband, apparently equal co-parent, if he can do one?
Turns out he can, and he's excited for "daddy/daughter day!" So that is adorable. And I need to work on so easily falling into the typical "all on the mom" default parent trap.
Sono went well! My placenta has moved enough. They want to do a growth sonogram in four weeks because her percentile dropped quite a bit, but she is still 2.5 pounds!
manybellsdown, I fall into that mindset all the time too. That's awesome that he's so pumped for a daddy/daughter day!
txmommy14, great news about the placenta!! I hope the follow-up growth scan goes well for you! Any news on the cysts? I've also been meaning to ask how DS' leg has been feeling. Is he back to running around again?
Oh, we're talking shoes??? I pretty much live in my Toms and Puma flats. Anything that I can slip on without having to tie, velcro, zip or snap is key.
soultrane , cysts are still gone!! So thankful! It is SO weird that you just asked about my son's leg, because I'm kind of freaking out about that right now. He was diagnosed with toxic synovitis about a month ago. It went away in about a week and he's been walking fine for the past 3 weeks (running, even!). Then this morning while I was at my sonogram, I got a text from my SIL watching my son and she asked if his leg had been bothering him because he suddenly stopped bearing weight on that right leg, wouldn't walk, etc. He had just been running around and acting totally fine earlier this morning. So, we're at square one as of TODAY. I am baffled, what is going on? Any medical people have any idea? Freckles? Basically-walked at 18 months, broke his right leg at 18 months and didn't walk for 5 weeks, got "toxic synovitis" at 22 months which they said was rare to recur, and now, here we are again! My 2 year old is crawling, in pain, and I have no idea why! They told me just to give him ibuprofen, but I have a call in to his ortho to see what he says.
Oh man txmommy14, I'm sorry that he's still dealing with pain and that it's been such a roller coaster for you guys. I hope your ortho can help you find some answers and get to the bottom of it. Sending hugs your way!
Sorry to all of you ladies not feeling well! Being pregnant involves enough discomfort as it is.
As for shoes, for work I wear J Crew Cece ballet flats. They have a little wedge in the heel because supposedly being tipped forward a bit is better for your back. I don't know if that's true, but I've been wearing them for years in a job where I have to stand most of the day and they keep my feet happier than any other (work appropriate) shoes I own. They are pricey though, I only buy them when they go on sale, which they do reasonably often. I have snatched up pretty much any color that is available because I wear them with everything. I think I have about 8 pairs by now.

Ugh txmommy14 sorry about your DS Toxic synovitis can definitely recur so that's most likely. Try the ibuprofen and if he still seems off then it makes sense to call the ortho again. Good luck!
frecklesnbrains, Do you know if some kids are just more prone to it than others? It's so weird-nobody I've talked to has ever heard of this, and for it to happen to him twice in the same month after all his other leg/immobility issues? Trying to trust my pediatrician on this one! Thanks!
