Lies

I don't really condone lying to your spouse, but sometimes it's necessary. What white, or "necessary" lies do you tell your husband/partner?
We have a very energetic puppy that loves to run, but we have a small yard. Right when she gets going fast she has to slam on the brakes to turn. Walks don't do much for her energy release and I am not comfortable taking her to a dog park. I am pretty fearful of other dogs and she is not a real big dog (40 pounds) so if there was ever a scuffle with another bigger dog I wouldn't know what to do.
So when I go up north to my dad's property, I let her run off leash. My husband doesn't know....the first time I took her we were both in agreement that she wasn't to be off leash because the road isn't very far away and we weren't sure if she would run off and not come back/run into the road. But as soon as we got there the first time (hubby stayed home) my stepmom let both her and my dog out of the back end of the car, not knowing I didn't want her off leash. Our puppy did great, she was so happy running around, she stayed with the other dog and would come back to me when I called. She never went near the road. So now every time we go, she is off leash the whole time we're there and my husband doesn't know. I feel bad lying, he'd be pissed if he found out, but I think letting her run and get exercise is more important.
So what lies do you tell? How mad would your spouse be if they found out?
