I didn't see a random's thread yet and I'm currently beat down hard by DST. Worse than Monday. Nobody swapped my beans for decaf, right?
What are you doing? I'm lapping up coffee and hoping it works. Gotta wake DD and get moving soon.
Was it Super Tuesday for you yesterday? I voted! My husband waited 40 minutes after work. I'm glad people got out. I'm less glad our state voted for he shall not be named for the Republican party. Who are these Trump people?
Same here. DST is kicking our asses. Mine specifically. I was all kinds of messed up this morning. Currently sitting at Dunkin drive thru for more coffee.

I'm up. DS decided that we HAD to go to the local bakery and get fresh donuts for him and his friends at school. He jumped out of bed, got himself dressed, and fed the cat and chameleon so I took him to the bakery.
Now I'm waiting for my fetal echo. I slept horrible last night so I'm trying to stay awake.

Now I want a donut!! lol We have a cupcake food truck coming to my office today... so I suppose that will suffice. Probably not though
I don't have a LO at home yet, and DST is kicking my ass today. I was WIRED the last two days for some unknown reason. I think my second tri energy finally decided to join the party. I knew the lack of sleep would catch up with me eventually... yup. That's today! Seriously dragging ass this morning. Luckily its the day after my company filed their 10K (super important financial report for publicly trading companies) so nobody should be doing much of anything.
In other news... baby girl seems to have FINALLY decided to vacate my ribs, at least temporarily. My back is much better the last day or so. I can tell there's still some crowding going on up there but its no where near as bad as it was.
Oh! And we finally 100% decided on a name... going with Mik.ayla Rose. My husband's middle name is Michael and mine is Rose, so I'm sort of in love with how it came together.
I'm on my second bagel and just enjoying the silence of DD napping. Yesterday was hard. Like screaming for no reason hard. MH, who's on vacation, just looked at me in horror and said "how the fuck do you do this every day." Welcome to the joys of stay at home parenting. Of course, this morning she was all smiles and snuggles.
I have work tonight and I managed to do my nails already during this nap, but that'll probably be it for today. Off to call my mother to see if she'll watch K while I work since it's a nice golf day and MH really wants to play a round.
I told my OB how much difficulty I am having sitting in my desk chair all day at work and she agreed I should only work half days! Whoot! I will be able to go home and lay down for an hour before picking my daughter up from school. The OB and MFM are confident that even though my issues caused frequent regular contractions, they won't cause real pre-term labor. My anxiety is still pretty bad but I feel better hearing that.
Our house purchase is still looking like it'll actually happen but after everything that's gone wrong this year, I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. If it doesn't, we'll close the second week of April.
DD peed her bed last night and proceeded to tell H very chipperly "well I guess I'll have to sleep with you guys!" Then she crowded me out of our king-size bed for hours. DST is bad enough without 3 year old antics.
Donuts, cupcakes, GS cookies, you all are cruel people! I'm going to dream I'm really eating one of those while I have my breakfast of Carnation breakfast drink and a banana.
I feel for everyone having to deal with small children and DST! Is it better have you noticed to "spring forward" or "fall backwards"? I would think spring just because internal clocks think it's an hour earlier in the morning so maybe you are spared getting woken up early, but I don't have kids so could be very wrong haha

DS has recovered from DST but I am still dragging. I am not sure if it's DST related or just pregnancy exhaustion. I am not sure my 2nd tri energy will ever kick in.
I ride up in the elevator with some lady carrying 2 boxes of donuts and it was very hard not to beg her for one. Instead I heated up my pinapple sticky rice and ate that for a snack.

Spring forward it worse for us. Its sneaky. In the morning, it seems like they are getting up later (woohoo!), but bedtime is the worst. DS didn't fall asleep until almost 8:30 every night this week and its a shit show.
Fall back isn't so bad, but I'm much more of a morning person and I don't mind being up early.

Bed peeing is rough. So much laundry. My 3 y/o went 4 months with wearing panties to bed with no accidents. Then suddenly she started peeing in the bed multiple times a week. We went back to pull-ups :/
We always make sure to cut out DS's fluid intake about an hour or so before bed time and then we made sure he went pee right before he got into bed. He had a few accidents but cutting the fluid intake seemed to work for us well.

I have to actually leave my house today and run around in the field. ..so happy my maternity jeans came monday so I don't have to deal with the belly band!
I was in the bathroom at work today for all of two minutes. There are four bathrooms in a row for faculty use, so I wasn't using the only one. THREE TIMES, someone tried to barge in without knocking. Is this a thing?? If you see a shut bathroom door, do you all knock first? It scared the day lights out of me every time!!
I'm also covering for another teacher today who doesn't have a sub, so I'm cranky

Oh yeah, that would make me really angry. Especially after the 3rd time! Every time I use a public bathroom I either give the door lock a quick eyeball or see if there are any shoes peeking out, I've never tried to push into a stall without checking to make sure it's empty. One time I was in a single occupant restroom where the door locks to the entire room, someone knocked on it and tried opening the door multiple times while I was in there. I wanted to yell at the person, obviously someone is in here!

tootsie I feel you. DD stays with her dad during the week most of the time since his schedule allows him to take her to school easier than mine. So DS ends up in bed with us because he doesn't like sleeping upstairs alone (H enables this and I hate it). So I get him right on top of me the entire night.

mcktymck we didn't have too much trouble the first night because we skipped nap, but he is always arguing with us now that it's still sunny out so not time for bed. I don't think either is easy because it changes the routine either way.

Our household has never had an issue with time change, except this time. I am exhausted and having the hardest time staying awake. But I think that MH being sick for almost a week, adds to the crappy DST. My stomach hurts today.

My fetal echo showed that Finn's PDA is narrowing, which shouldn't happen until after birth. Her heart looks great though so the cardiologist wants me back in two weeks to recheck it. I guess if it continues or gets worse it can cause heart failure so I have a long list of questions for the cardiologist in a few weeks.
DST is kicking my butt but the kids have been fine. They were going to bed at 7 and waking up at 6 and now we just put them to bed at 8 and they wake up at 7. So it's the same for them!
I just ate a chocolate turtle pecan cookie and now I'm sitting here getting kicked like crazy. Baby must have got a sugar rush.
housecarder, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it doesn't get worse. :/ It's great you are at 24weeks but it doesn't mean you want her to come this soon!
Yeah, I've been talking to a few ladies on PAIF and there was talk of surgery to stint it in utero and depending on the severity being able to postpone birth for a bit. All of these things I have to discuss at my follow up. Thankfully the cardiologist didn't seem to think it was severe right now and it might not get worse.

This is us! She's been dry at night for months, and now she has peed the bed twice in two weeks. She has been sick and we switched to the big girl bed, so I'm hoping it is related to that and not her new normal.

We are going to have to do this, too. We are pretty liberal with the fluids, but not when it's messing up everyone's sleep.
