I felt like a horrible mom today when my friend came over. We went to the park and let the kids run around. When we came home LO was being such a fussy mess so I gave him some medicine and then put on his cartoons and he instantly became happy. I never thought I'd be one of those mom's who rely on tv, but gosh it's such a sanity saver sometimes.

Don't feel bad. There's lots of things we say we won't do but it's hard and no one can be perfect mommy all day everyday.
nemomof2 maybe I'll try rewording mine to see if that boosts anything. ashlantic thank you! I just have to get through 1 more day! Lol I'm so excited for Spring Break! I have 2 beach play dates, a mommy baby yoga play date planned and a story time at the library play date planned plus my cousin and her husband and little girl are coming down so we will have another beach day with them and some shopping and then a huge Bon fire at my MILs! I can't wait!!! Glad your LO napped for you! Z was in the same mood yesterday! It was interesting.
littlelion there's a bbq?? I miiiight have to go check that out! We need to stop enabling each other to shop. BabyStandish I swore I wouldn't do that either, but damn it's so easy to put on Sesame Street or those Super Simple songs on youtube. You are not a horrible mom! Hugs.
@littleluon and raven I love Little Tykes things, I would have all of them if we had a separate okay room. My parents had a full Little Tykes house set up in our basemen with a full kitchen and laundry room.
In college we tried making them over the burner of our electric stove. Ahh, to be a dumb college kid again.
I make them over our gas stove all the time. When I was pregnant with DD s'mores are the thing I could not eat enough of. DH would catch me at 2 am making them.
BabyStandish you are not a horrible mom. LO isn't interested in tv/YouTube yet but I definitely use it with DD. YouTube on the iPad is how we got DD potty trained.

Oooh, we have a gas stove now! I'm sure it works better than an electric coil. Lol
I've been lurking on an off all day- I feel like I can't catch up!
We also had grocery day today and tons of errands. I had an extra kid here for the last two days and she was a TALKER (she's 14). She's used to talking to adults (only child) so she was chatting my face off. I'm exhausted. No wonder her mom always looks so wiped! Sweet kid tho. Who would have thought that I would be relieved to have "just" 4 kids at home?
BabyStandish mamas gotta do what mamas gotta do. No shame in that game.
littlelion I just ordered a step2 water/sand table with an umbrella (a must in the blazing hot desert). I love those little lawn mowers too...you are going to get me in trouble on Amazon!
ourcrazynavylife hard and fast rule at my house: NEVER wake the sleeping baby. Mine is a BEAST if she's woken up before she's ready.

I got the camping stove top that takes little propane tanks out a few times when I was pregnant and made s'mores on that. It's as close to a gas stove as I'll get! Lol I don't have any gram crackers so I'm very disappointed that I won't be able to try and make them in my toaster oven. Back in the corner it goes

ashlantic that's great YH got up last night, but sorry about your headache. Your morning reading sounds so perfect! BabyStandish hope your play date was fun! I use TV when B is in a bad mood too. My day at school was dragging but then we had my sister stay for dinner (she was watching B today) and got invited to the neighbors for a couple drinks for St Patrick's Day after dinner. We are really going to miss the neighborhood when we move! (Ps should I be flamed for putting B to bed and then going next door with the video monitor? I locked the door!)
