We have been TTC since 2010...Diagnosis unexplained...3 cycles of Clomid, 3 IUIs all BFN (I have never had a positive pregnancy test). We decided to adopt in 2014, and continue to wait for a match. During that time we have continued saving and can now afford IVF too, just in time for me to be diagnosed with DOR and are given a 19% of getting pregnant with my own eggs.
As a result we are trying to decide between Donor Eggs (DH's first choice) or Embryo Adoption (my first choice). We are each afraid of the other being resentful somewhere down the line for the decision so we are trying to figure out which avenue to take.
Glad to know a place exists in the world where people understand what we are going through. Family and friends are supportive and sympathetic, but have no idea what it is like to have to make a decision like this.

Welcome! MH and I were set on the same things as you and YH. He wanted to do DE and I wanted to do EA. It took a few counseling sessions and a lot of nightly heart-to-hearts to finally come to an agreement on how to move forward.
I wish you the best of luck. Happy to answer any DE questions you might have!

After 4 failed IUIs and 4 failed IVFs, we had to decide between donor eggs and embryo adoption/donation. Ours came down to a mostly financial decision, but I would be happy to discuss our decision to go with EA/D. We actually had a failed cycle through a clinic's donor embryo program and then matched privately with a donor looking to donate 7 blasts. We were successful with our second transfer with those embryos and are expecting a baby girl in August. We still have 2 blasts left to try again later for a sibling.
TTC #1 since August 2011 DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA Me (32): Slightly low P4, hostile CM, carrier for CF, high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA October 2012-August 2015: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, 2 failed FETs w/donor embryos, 1 freeze all IVF, 1 Failed FET, and 1 cancelled FET November 2015: FET w/ DEm #3 Transferred 1 perfect 6AA blast
