We don't do gifts on Valentine's Day. In the past DH has usually brought flowers for me and we make a nice dinner at home, and that's about the extent of it. This year my ILs will be visiting so I doubt we'll do a damn thing.
I'll make some sort of peanut butter treat since that's his favorite. If he's lucky, I'll squeeze my whale-self into something sexy and initiate sex. The end.
We don't really do gifts anymore, we just do activities together instead. I'll probably get a nice card and maybe some chocolates (that I can steal) but that's it.
There's a local ice wine festival here on Valentine's Day, and I was given free tickets from my work so we'll probably spend our afternoon there. I'm bummed I'm gonna miss out on all the yummy wines, but the culinary center here sponsors it too so they'll be making food using ice wines as an ingredient. Now THAT I am excited about Plus, last year they gave horse drawn carriage rides through the vineyards, I think they'll be doing that again this year. Should be fun!
We just go out on a date and call it good. Sex is always involved but I'm not a crazy hearts and flowers kind of person. But I am loving making homemade Valentines with DS this year.
We don't do gifts anymore! We just go out to eat and get all romantic. I don't think we're doing any of that this year, though. Thanks a lot, Dave Ramsey.

I usually get DH a bottle of Jameson or something similar that he likes. He doesn't care for gifts. We always do a dinner at home, I prep and he grills!
I was just thinking about this lol. I don't know what to do! I mean, we will probably have a nice dinner and watch netflix. I work that morning, so it can't be too extensive. But I feel like we should do something special, since it's our last Valentine's Day as only us? Though at the same time, we have never made Valentine's Day into a huge deal, so doing something big would be kind of out there. hmmm.....
We don't do valentines gifts. Our anniversary is in Sept, Christmas in December, both our birthdays in March, it gets expensive. So we decided years ago to nix the whole valentines day gift thing and just do cards. H usually gets me flowers and a card, and I usually do a card and bake him his favorite frosted sugar cookies. Then we either go out to dinner or do a fancy dinner in.

We don't do gifts, just cards and dinner. They're doing a holiday promotion at the restaurant where we are having our wedding reception in March so I think we'll go there

We usually exchange small gifts, so I'm giving him a print I think he will like in a frame from Michael's. Nothing too extravagant! He is actually out of town traveling for work that week, so we haven't really decided whether we'll try to go out to dinner -- something we usually did before DS came along!

We are each picking a date of our choice. I am making him go to a paint night at a studio/bar thing. He can have a beer and then we will paint together. I have never been to one and I am pretty stoked!
This year we're taking an all day birthing class at the hospital. Sexy. If that doesn't get him in the mood then I don't know what will.
t1green - We have our first Hypnobirthing class the morning of V-Day, but it’s only 2 hours long. I hope that doesn’t deter him from sex! (I guess it depends on if they show birth videos, or not)
We don't usually do anything big either and last year I did nothing and then felt terrible when he made me a card and chocolate covered strawberries and rented the notebook. I will do these truffles www.howsweeteats.com/2011/12/crispy-chocolate-peanut-butter-cookie-dough-truffles/ and just bought him this and will make him a card and we'll go to our fav restaurant that he proposed at. Done!

I'm thinking that mine will be complete with birth videos and everything but we'll see. It's normally a class that meets once a week for 2 hours but I don't have time due to tax season so we opted for the all day Saturday crash course.
We aren't doing anything specifically for Valentine's other than he might get laid. However, we are going on a date that night. For Christmas, I gave him the 12 dates thing (one planned date each month). For February, the date I planned is going to a hockey game. Coincidentally, the weekend the team is in town is Valentine's day. So that's our date this month. However, his birthday is this weekend, so we are planning on going to a nice dinner for that.
We don't normally do anything major for holidays but I might make us go out since the likelihood of us ever going out again once LO3 arrives is pretty small.
Usually on Valentines Day I bake him shortbread cookies filled with currant jam. He loves these but hates it when I bake them because they're essentially just butter and sugar and he can't stop eating them. I might make a really small batch.
If he got me a maid service for V-Day he would definitely get laid that night.
We don't do gifts on Valentine's day, we just exchange cards. We usually go to a fancy dinner and this year he gets to decide where we're going. That's good enough
