Okay, I get it. You loathe the logo. So this is your chance to give us options. If you don't like the current logo, show us something better. You're creative! Create! Send a high resolution image to Kathleen@thencomesfamily.com
Allow me to be clear from the outset: we will not be voting on this as a forum. That would get way to crazy, encourage voting as factions and leave everyone pissed off. I don't relish those arguments. You all are fun enough to moderate without infighting.
So come up with an idea! I want to see. Really. Please no images with dicks. I'm sure some of you already thought of that. No dicks.

Last quick item of note. Anyone that designs the logo will need to make it at 300 dpi so that it can be used for print resources later. It also would need to be both a layered and a flattened PSD so that we can create favicons and other needed mini logos with it.
At 300 ppi It should be a minimum of 8 inches across.

I'm justt proud that I understand the rules! Yeah, Photoshop skillz.
Are we also looking at the logo for the Facebook page? If we change the one here will the Facebook one reflect it? I know they are currently different which may cause some confusion, although they have the same color scheme so maybe not.

We would ideally be updating the Facebook logo if something comes about that easily translates into a smaller square image

Just my .02, coming from an extensive print and design background. Ideal logos (from a printing standpoint) are usually done in vector format (.ai, .eps) and rastered if they need to be afterwards. Vector formats have no resolution and can therefore be resized from business card to billboard with no loss of quality. That's not to say that .psd, .pdf or .jpg won't work for what you need now, but a vector based image is limitless for physical size and also significantly smaller in file sizes as you increase print sizes and advertising media as the site grows.
Is the logo just for the forum community or would it be for TCF as a whole? My understanding is TCF as a whole will offer articles, etc like TD and so a logo that represents that might look different that one just focused on our online community.
