I don't hate the GB Packers... it's their fans that suck. A bunch of my IL's are Packer fans and I refuse to watch football with them. They are cool any other time.

We've been watching a lot of kids movies lately during the days when I have the kids...like two or more a day. I should put my foot down and watch fewer but I've been on a movie kick lately and am enjoying watching them. Even when it's the same one over and over. The confession part is that I don't feel guilty about this. There's a shameful amount of screen time going on in this house and I don't give two shits about it. MOTY.

As a diehard Packer fan I'll try not to take offense to this. We are all pretty passionate though.
I'm sorry, I don't recognize your screen name. What was your SN on TB if you don't mind sharing?

ladyofshallott86, We are watching more and more tv around our house too. We bought a Mickey Christmas movie on the iPad for my drive to IL at Christmas and now Riley wants to watch it all the time. I try to make her play with her toys before watching any of it, but we always end up snuggling on the couch watching for most of the time she's awake on the weeknights. I enjoy it, but then I constantly hear my SIL's voice in my head saying that kids under 3 shouldn't watch ANY tv. Dammit!

I upgraded to my married name. I was SLWeaver and my signature sticker said I was 129 weeks pregnant with Lorelei Clara. I am so glad not to be that pregnant anymore! LOL
I'm totally cool with Packer fans... when football isn't on. I can't handle all the statistics and history lessons. I just want to watch and enjoy the game.
I wore a shirt twice to work this week. In my defense, I was wearing it under sweaters so it's not like anyone could see and it didn't smell or anything.

Did you post on July '12? I honestly don't recognize the SN SLWeaver
I went to the WRONG JULY.... Hahaha... there.. That is my new FFFC. There were so many names I recognized here.
No worries! I think we were just all really confused. Thanks for clearing it up!
Not a problem... what July were you looking for? I know we were all confused, because I didn't know who you were and was trying to figure out if you were a lurker on TB that we all forgot about....

I find myself humming the songs I hear on kids' shows. I was doing this at work and when someone asked me what I was humming, I lied and said it was some song I heard in the radio.

This exactly. I don't take your post to mean anything since we all have no clue who you are and you refuse to say. Answer us dammit!!!
I'm a Packer fan and GB packers fans are actually quite the opposite. I've been to a Vikings/Packers game and they are a big rival, not as bad as the Bears, but a good enough one. I went to a game with 2 of us Packer fans and 2 Vikings fans. All of the fans around us were nice to our Viking friends and even shot the shit with them. Granted there are always a few terrible fans that ruin it for the others, but every fan I've met has been this way.

This is in our house too, especially at bedtime. It's the only way I can get Hanna to stay semi quite while I get Eliza to bed. I can go even further for a FFFC though....I was totally against it, but I came home on Tuesday after my darts and there is now a tv in Hanna's room I mentioned it at DC and according to MIL she told H that it was something he should do. Since then it's only been on a couple of times, but I was still upset about it. Hanna was wanting to watch movies in V's room and V wasn't liking it. So it gives V a little privacy, or that's H's reasoning. I'm still on the fence about it and when I'm home I'm less hesitant to turn it on.

bliz1712 It's me. Jennylongshit was a nickname in College because...well...you can guess. So now it's the running joke that everyone wants to compete with me and my measurable poo.
We also watch too much tv herr. I've started limiting it to only in the morning when we snuggle/get ready for the day or for special occasions. But she is constantly asking for it, and sometimes it's so much easier to deal with her by just turning it on...MOTY right here....

I really don't have an issue with the tv watching as long as it has some kind of educational aspect. MMCH has taught M so much. He knew what a harp and telescope were from there. They also so counting, colors and shapes. I think it's a great way for kids to learn, as long as it's the right kind of show. Now if he was requesting SpongeBob, we would have a problem.
We have also been watching too much tv. Also tv that I don't enjoy because my kid is suddenly OBSESSED a with super heros. I practically begged to watch Brave yesterday.

I motivate myself to drink a ton of water during the day by rewarding myself with wine at night. I'm pretty sure I'm cancelling out the health benefits of the water with the calories of the wine but I don't GAF.

On some of the nights that I work I waste time and do silly stuff before leaving. This means that I get home later than LO's 8 pm bedtime. It is so nice to not fight to get her in the tub or in her PJs.

But there are so many health benefits of drinking wine! In my mind it's a win-win.

I told Jack Sheriff Callie was sick because I just couldn't do another episode. Instead we watched Paw Patrol and everyone was happy.

I've done this before too, especially if I know I'd be getting home just before or at bedtime, which would likely cause her to want to see me...
On a similar note, my H has been basically handling bedtime shenanigans lately. I still read and say goodnight to her and tuck her in... but then I leave and he deals with the tears or yelling about her "one more potty" or "Leave the light on" or "Door open now!" that she's started pulling.
She has never slept with the door open in her life until we moved in with IL's... we got her a new night-light, in addition to her on that shines on the ceiling (the only one she ever needed before). So we had to add the cover back to her door knob to keep her in her room. We let her sleep with the door open for about a week, because we figured the new room was weird to her (even though she's slept in there before). No more. She's sleeping better since we started "locking her in" again - so I justify my "meanie" behavior with that.

laurski81: Well, I think you are right! I did just read this article on CNN this morning.

I peed my pants at the post office. I was coughing and it just...happened. It was not just a "sniss" type of peeing my pants either. Luckily, I was wearing a long coat, it wasn't enough to go down my leg, but it was embarrassing enough for me to cry in the car driving home. So yup, I pissed my pants in public and I am not even pregnant.
I haven't had wine since the night I drank the entire bottle and woke up puking like an irresponsible teenager. I am taking a time out from drinking for a hot second, and FC is that as much as I love wine, I don't miss it. Which could be because I am replacing it with disgusting and completely unhealthy soda.
