Today started out super crappy. B was screaming all morning while I tried to get ready (bc of course he can't sleep in until I wake him) then he cried at the babysitter when i left. Finally I dropped my lunchbox on the way into school and my favorite mug broke! The rest of the day turned out pretty average and uneventful though. Just overwhelmed with so much to do before we move. Hope we can get it all done! Anyone have good tips on purging? We are moving to a smaller place to save money and downsizing is going to be hard!

reginaphalange3 we did this when we moved. I used the rule of a few months with our clothes (if you haven't worn it in 1-2 months then get rid of it). Same thing with kitchen stuff. I don't need 57985268 bijillion coffee mugs no matter how awesome the story behind them. I just tried to be super practical and non sentimental. Then we held a huge yard sale. Then donated the rest.

ourcrazynavylife thanks those are helpful! I'm typically a 'we should save it, we might need it down the line' person but this move is coming fast and I just want to live in a organized clutter free place and not be tripping over all the stuff we 'might need someday' because who knows when we'll be in our forever home or even how big that will be. Hoping it's finally enough motivation to just get rid of all the things!!! (We did sign up for a community yard sale at a park nearby-even got two spots, so that should be a big help!)
