My house is pretty clean and diaper laundry done every night. I've made healthy and delicious dinners, too.
I swallowed my pride and started taking meds for severe PPD and PPA and can function better.
I can now also support MH and MIL who was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer last week and just moved in with us (unexpectedly). It's been a hard week to adjust, but we're managing.
Given all that, I'll try to stop beating myself up about BF issues and guilt over my low milk EP. I hate formula, though, and if circumstances had been different I think little issues could have been overcome, but now it's just like slamming my head against a brick wall trying to catch up.

Im so sorry to hear about your MIL. I hope she is able to receive some comfort while she is with you. It must help at least to be so near her grandchild.

I've gotten all 3 of us up and out the door by 8 almost every morning. DH leaves at 7 so I'm on my own getting us ready most mornings. I've kept up on laundry and diaper laundry. I get it folded and put away within the day every time so far! And the rest of the house looks pretty good most of the time too. I did solo bedtime last night and tonight since DH had to work late both nights. DS is fairly easy to get to bed, but I'm proud of myself for doing it in my own.
Holy crap. Are you Superwoman??
I wish! Just doing what I have to do. Gotta get to my brother's in the morning to watch my nephew and I go crazy if the house is a wreck. Luckily baby girl is fairly easygoing so far and has made the transition to newborning smooth.

We hosted friends from Europe this week and took them all over the area to go wine tasting, see the beach, the city, etc. I had a lot of fun and it was great to see them, but it was exhausting trying to read directions to drive everywhere, feed & change LO in various places, get her in and out of the car, and stay out of the house 9-10 hours a day for several days this week without falling down asleep. But I did it! LO was a champ and was mostly happy as a clam wherever we were, but I'm glad this last week of my mat leave coming up will be nice and quiet - just us at home.
Side note: Would not recommend hosting out of town guests to anyone with a newborn. I'm not saying it was a good idea. It was actually one of the dumbest ideas I've ever had. I'm just saying I survived, and it was a victory!
Left DH with all three kids and got my nails done yesterday! (Maybe that should actually be a victory for him?) Since DD has been home, Someone in my house has had, pink eye, a cold, a stomach bug, and now some mystery illness DS2 woke up with this morning. Sucks, but we are surviving.
Just successfully nursed in my Ergo. I've been trying to get nursing down in a carrier for weeks.
Is it the original Ergo? Do you have any advice? I tried with #2 and never got it
Yes, the original. Honestly, it was a lot of YouTube and trial and error. I still have trouble losing the side I want to nurse on and I have yet to try in public.

I haven't cried today. So that's a victory considering the shitastic day I'm having. My toddler won't nap (she's been in her crib for almost 2hrs and is still awake) and E will only sleep if I'm holding him. So my afternoon has consisted of listening to her scream and being stuck in one place so he can sleep.

I'm not impressed with today.
J is doing the only sleeping when being held thing today too. He's currently asleep for the first time since 6 this morning.
This is huge! You should be proud of yourself. It really is one day at a time.
I've been told by many day 10 suddenly everything is fine. I'm half way there and today has been a good nursing day. As long as good are mixed with bad I think I'll survive. Every time I think I'm done she takes a long nap finally or something and that little break is like a reset.
It was two weeks for me, but it really is like magic.
I made risotto last night for dinner. We had to eat in shifts bc LO wouldn't stop screaming and H had to take over some stirring duties so I could feed her, but yum.
We had our first big outing as a family yesterday. We went to the zoo and then had a picnic lunch before coming home. It went great, DS loved it and DD was content or asleep the whole time.

K spent most of Sunday at the inlaws and by the end of the day lost her shit in an epic meltdown from being seriously overtired. I cannot even imagine what would happen if I brought her all over creation for days. She'd probably explode. Props to you for succeeding!
I survived the day with all 3 kids home and with my stupid neck going out. I can barely move my head. And I made dinner.
H is taking over with baths so I can rest.
I hope you feel better soon. Do you have a rice sock you can out on it?
Thanks. I have a heating pad and this gel pack I can microwave. I took some of my prescription ibuprofen, but I want a muscle relaxer. Pretty sure those are a no no while breastfeeding, so I'm resisting. It's a recurring injury that I've had PT for before, but it hasn't bugged me since before I got pregnant.
I went to my hometown Friday and got back today. It was for my sister's baby shower. I successfully took two kids on a road trip by myself! I took the baby to the shower and wore her. She slept until the end when she woke up hungry. But it was a good experience overall.
I was left alone with 2u2 for a few hours for the first time. I was worried because I still can't pick toddler up, but talked her into snuggling in bed with LO and I, and watching The Little Mermaid. All three of us fell asleep while H picked the big kids up from school and went grocery shopping.

Thank beezus she seems to take after MH and is a pretty mellow kid most of the time, but yeah. She had an overtired meltdown one night at home and a spectacular meltdown at a winery, which was interesting! I spent a long time changing her, feeding her, and rocking her on a lawn behind the tasting room, haha.

I made mac and cheese for my boys while nursing in the ergo. It was tough though because I need to support a boob with my hand, so I was doing it one handed. Whatever.
Next I need to master changing a diaper while nursing. My 3 year old pooped in his diaper while I was nursing. That would be badass.

You might be surprised. Kelly Mom has some links to places you can search medicine names if a pharmacist or your doc can't help.
