My allergies are freaking terrible. I woke up with a bloody nose at 3. Pregnancy insomnia sucks. Plus DD left her room for the first time this morning (she is 3.5). I walked out of my room and her door was open and no kid. Scared me!! She was downstairs though. MH is gone for the weekend and my mom is coming over. So should be fun!

How scary! I'm glad she was ok. Is it time for a gate? I hope your allergies calm down & you have fun with your mom!

Worked 8am - 10:30pm yesterday with our major fundraiser event last night. DD was up at 5:45 this am to snuggle and I was at the event venue at 8am. Right now I am heading BACK to my office to drop stuff off. Then done. I need a NAP.

DH came home from work with hives yesterday and by 10pm I thought I'd have to take him to urgent care this morning. His torso was so covered in them they were basically one giant hive and neon pink. I called his mom and she said he got them all the time as a child. Hopefully this is not something I have to look forward to with LO. He looks a lot better this morning but we still have no idea what caused them.
My mom and older sister are coming over to discuss my little sisters graduation party. I'm freaking out because I seem to be the only one interested in this and it's the week of my due date. So, this will be fun.
I'm just lazing around the house at the moment. I was going to clean out my car today, but it is pouring rain. I might still do it anyway, but I've got to psyche myself up for it! My in laws are coming next weekend so I have to get the house into perfect order (they aren't terrible sticklers or anything, I would just feel more comfortable that way). It feels a little early to be cleaning though. My pets will just spread fur all over the place again as soon as I sweep, so I might do the major work on Thursday when DH can move furniture for me and such. I hate deep cleaning the house, but I'll be happy I was forced to do it when everything looks perfect for at least a couple days
DH has races this weekend so DS and I drive to the track yesterday and the normal 1.75 hour trip took 2.75 hours due to extra traffic. Ugh. By the time we got here my feet were totally swollen. This is our last long weekend out of town before LO comes so I'm ready for some home time. I need to start thinking about maternity leave too and when my last day will be. I'm thinking a week before my due date but am not sure yet.
I got my hair cut and highlighted this morning and it was so awesome to have some me time!! I'm getting ready to go to a baby shower this afternoon and had my dress on to make sure it fit. DS told me I looked nice and then immediately followed up with "I see your big butt!" Three-year-olds, man.
We had a one-year-old's birthday party this morning and are going to a couples baby shower for our friends tonight. It was unclear whether kids are invited, so we got a babysitter just in case, although I'm not excited to pay for that! It's a BBQ so it should be good.
My insomnia has been so terrible lately that even Ambien isn't really helping me sleep. Last night I laid awake until 3 AM. I didn't even look at my phone or anything, but I could not fall asleep even though I was exhausted. I don't even think I can blame it on pregnancy, I feel like I can get pretty comfortable with all of my pillows usually.
It's a huge weekend for sports in our city. Spring football game, big lacrosse game, and both men's and women's teams in the final four. I went to the spring football game, and the excitement at the university is just great. I'm just going to our friend's bar to watch the basketball game later. DH stayed out- I don't want to be all crowded.
The pain I have in my back just won't go away either. It hurts to stand, a lot of times sit, and now it's hurting even when I lay down. It is pretty high on my back and just this nagging pain.
We are laying low this weekend. We have some busy weekends coming up so trying to enjoy the quiet. I'm not very good at staying home though because I get bored in 2 seconds. It's rainy though so I guess I will need to get over it . Cooking dinner tonight and spent a fortune at whole foods so we need to not eat out too much this week
My husband is so embarrassing. In line at whole foods with tons of people around he's on the phone with his brother talking about fantasy football as if he was a real coach. They do a league where they get to keep 2 players to roll over to the new season so there is al lth is strategy and trade stuff that goes on. People probably thought he was nuts. I pretended like I didn't know him until it was time to carry the bags!

My team (and alma mater!) is in the final four, too! (Oklahoma)-are we playing you?!
I'm debating if I should make cupcakes. The answer is, obviously, no. I should not make cupcakes that only DH and I would eat. But the idea is in my head and I have all the ingredients and now they are haunting me. I had a snack to see if that helped and it didn't. At the doctors office yesterday, when I went to the bathroom, I saw myself in the mirror while I still had my pants panel rolled down. Turns out their bathroom mirror is longer/lower than mine and I saw the lower half of my stomach for the first time in awhile. I have stretch marks on the underside of my bump that I had no idea existed. I want to to back to blissful ignorance!
vivela , I say yes to cupcakes! I had two today at a birthday party and am going to a shower tonight where I anticipate there will be more cake. They also sent us home with leftover cupcakes (strawberry cream cheese).

Always say yes to cupcakes! I have a side cake business, and I still can't turn down cupcakes if they are somewhere!
We had a snowy April day today so we decided to take ds to his first movie. He loved it and sat through the almost 2 hour movie. Baby is kicking my butt today. He has literally not stopped kicking and moving all day. Dh told me he needs a break from my complaining. I told him he better get used to it or it's going to be a long 2 more months. I feel like I'm pretty good at not complaining most days but today I'm exhausted. Good luck to those who still have a team in the madness! And always yes to cupcakes!
I need to pat myself on the back for a minute but I made a delicious dinner. Hahaha. I hardly ever cook and when I do it's usually quick and easy stuff. Today I made a cucumber tomato cous cous salad and a yummy baked chicken. My husband was over the moon excited. We are spoiled in NYC because it's so easy to order any type of cuisine you want and have it delivered or eat at fancy trendy restaurants that sometimes it's nice to just eat a home cooked meal.
I bet I could get some tonight if I wanted because he was so impressed....too bad I never want

So I ended up getting diagnosed with cholestasis, which is basically a bile build up in your blood. Because its possibly harmful to baby, I am now going on medication and will be monitored at the perinatal doc twice a week. In addition, it means that I will probably be having the baby at 36-37 weeks, so we're looking at mid-May. (Holy crap)
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that woodengirl07. I'm sure that feels pretty overwhelming but it is good that you caught it and are going to be monitored closely. Good luck at your appointment! Coincidentally, I was bored today and lurking on other BMBs. There is definitely at least one person on April '16 who has or has had cholestatis. She was posting in a thread about itching, perhaps she could give you some insight?

I'll know more at my appointment on Tuesday.
I'm sorry you have cholestasis. I have a friend and a cousin with this. Luckily both had beautiful, healthy babies.
I'm sorry to hear that woodengirl07. I'm really glad that you're being monitored closely and that your medical team is being proactive. Good luck on Tuesday at your appointment!
Today was a super busy day. I am now the the proud owner of a 2016 Honda Odyssey! We've been talking about getting a new car for a while now, but the transmission on my SUV went out today, so that was the push we needed. I've told DH that now we have plenty of room for a third kid!

I totally want a Honda Odyssey when we get a van someday! My parents got one in 2000 and it still runs perfectly!
We had a couples baby shower tonight. It was really fun, but I totally thought it would only last an hour or two since it was a shower, so I was a little panicked about how long it was taking since we had a babysitter and told her we would only be gone for two hours! It was delicious though. I am so full after going to a birthday party and a shower today! I seriously ate three cupcakes and a piece of cake. And that's just the desserts.

I am so sorry! That sounds stressful. Let us know how your appointment goes next week. Looks like we will both be having babies in mid-May more than likely! Kind of crazy to think about. I'm glad your doctor will be following you closely, although going to the doctor twice a week sounds super overwhelming!
