I can relate! Got zero sleep and just when I started dozing off the alarm goes off. Have to go to work early today. My hips are killing me! I shouldn't complain if hip pain is the worst thing I'm experiencing. It just happens at night and won't let me sleep.
Sorry you ladies cant sleep! I hate needing to function on no sleep.
I really didn't want to go to the gym this morning. It's freezing out and I have a stuffy nose. But since DD came to sleep with us 30 min ago and is taking up my side of the bed, off I go. Hopefully it will at least make me feel better.
twaffle, that's a crappy way to start the day. Poor little guy - and you!
Sorry about those of you struggling with sleep. That's really hard.
I am lying in bed, dreading my day. Really, truly dreading it. My client is totally nuts, I have so much to do and my computer is about to shit the bed ( fan is dying and sounds like a plane taking off) so I just know it's going to be one of those days. Can't I just stay in bed?!?
I have a morning routine of making breakfast as soon as I get up and watch the news for 30 or so min. Well yesterday our power went out and when it did, it blew out our tv so now i sit here eating breakfast in silence!
jerseyakl it's noon here, so at least the start of my day was not vomit!
Can you pull the pregnancy card and call in sick? I never know how it is in the US, here you can totally do it
Oh good point! Although vomit is no fun at noon either.
I debated calling in, but the client randomly hired someone that is coming in today so I can train him (so not my job) and she may actually kill me if I bail.

Here as long as you claim to have a fever they have to write you out for a week so you don't get everyone sick!

On my way to the huge Cabelas store with my mom and Stepdad for the day. My Stepdad goes once a year for a class for his job, and mom and I make a shopping trip of it. I'm excited to find cabin themed stuff for Milo's nursery Hope you all have a happy Thursday!

I also have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. It's awful because I'm so tired all day long. Sometimes when I'm at work, I'm so exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open, but then I'm laying in bed wide awake at night. So annoying! Sorry that others are feeling the no-sleep pain too!

One more thing - I just noticed that it is now "requires the highest of fives." I love that! It's my new favorite one, right up there with "throws glitter."
I've been reflecting on pregnancy and babyhood (as I was feigning sleep last night) and wanted to share a phrase I used to repeat to myself when DS was small: "the days are long but the years are short." I have found it to be oh, so true.
I was thinking about how this applies to this time in our lives when many of us are exhausted and uncomfortable. This magical 9 months is really such a brief time in the larger picture of life. I want to savor this time when I get this baby all to myself as he goes with me to work and bed and everywhere in such a convenient little package (without having to bundle him up and put him in a carseat and make sure I have plenty of diapers, etc.). I get to feel his kicks and wiggles and share this special time with him and dream about what he'll look like and how he'll change our family.
The first 9 years of DS's life have flown by. I know it's cliche but it's true. Before we know it, these pregnancies will be just a memory. I'm afraid if I blink I'll be sending him off to college.
So sorry for you ladies who aren't sleeping...I've been there all week! Last night I finally slept through the night...so I am going to try do it coffee-free today! Haha here goes nothin.
So I just experienced baby hiccups for the first time last night. I was cute and all like everyone says, but does anyone else find them to be a little...weird? My entire stomach was shaking and I kind of felt bad for the poor LO with hiccups I couldn't make go away. She had them for about 30 minutes before bed and it took me so long to figure out what was going on in there (dance party vs. hiccups).

Officially had that meltdown last night that I knew was coming. I made my first trip to Destination Maternity in search of a bra. I have successfully done all of my maternity shopping online and it's been working wonderfully for me... Well I tried on 10 bras while H was waiting and all of them made my boobs look AWFUL and made me just feel really gross, not to mention the cup covered my whole chest pretty much. That was enough to trigger me for some reason. We left the store immediately, I cried like a big baby, and then took it out on DH the rest of the night. He handled it well and I am feeling better this morning thank god. Happy Thursday ladies!!!!
