trin42 and mom2xover2002 Let me know about the movie. I really want to go see it, but I'm afraid I will be too emotional. I'm crying over all kinds of crazy shit these days, and I would hate to start sobbing in public!
lotsofdotts there was only one scene that I couldn't watch (involved a young boy being killed) but otherwise it was a good movie and made me re-appreciate our armed service members.
lotsofdotts INTENSE!! I did bury my head in DH arm 2x's. I have NEVER been in a movie where when the credits started NO ONE left and it was utterly silent when people did leave. Even DH teared up at the end.

I couldn't watch that scene either. Makes me appreciate what they do even more. Prayed so much harder for my cousin's safety over there last night too.
My company just announced 8 weeks of paid bonding leave (in addition to the medical leave covered by STD) that can be taken anytime in the 12 months following birth or adoption of a child. I'm still taking my medical leave and 2 weeks of vacation, but DH and I now have plans to take the 8 weeks leave at the end of the year since our current assignment will be ending then and we can put off starting the next thing. When I originally told him about the announcement, he told me he couldn't take 2 months off, but once he actually read about it and realized the timeframe was perfect for us, he got onboard with taking the bonding leave.
Our crib arrived and now that it's here, I'm not sure where we're going to put it. Tomorrow will probably involve a lot of furniture rearrangement.
Ugh...why can't I get my signature to work? Here we go again...
Proboards uses BB Code, not HTML (which is what you currently have). On Lilypie it will be the one that uses [] instead of <> tags. I don't know what they call it. Good luck!
Thank you!! I'll give that a try. Siggies always seem to give me trouble...
