What's everyone drinking? Water, caffeine free diet coke, and gatorade for this girl! I have work later today and not looking forward to it!
Water and gatorade are it for me, and I can only handle the gatorade while I'm working out. I really need to find a flavored liquid that stays down because I'm worried that I'm not drinking enough.
I'm having Chick-fil-a for lunch for the 2nd time this week. It's the only thing that sounds good. Literally all other food makes my stomach turn today.
I can't drink plain water. It makes me puke. So I have to hydrate with basically whatever I can get down. Apple juice, lemonade, tea, and chocolate/vanilla flavored milk (I make it with breakfast essentials) seem to sit the best. Sometimes I'll drink sprite or the berry flavored la croix.
Last night I got so depressed about being sick and exhausted. I literally was in tears. The medicine helps a lot, but I still feel icky every day.
The weather here is gross, it keeps going back and forth between rain and snow. I'm tired and just want to leave work to go home and take a nap. As for the drinks discussion, I've never gotten into Lacroix, the flavors just taste weird to me for some reason. I mostly just drink water and milk these days, but I refuse to let go of my coffee each morning. I'd be asleep at my desk by 10am if I didn't have that.
Is it weird that I'd never heard of Lacroix until this thread? When did this become a thing? I'm so out of the loop!
I don't think it's weird. I've seen it around in grocery stores but always figured it was sugary pop. The other day I actually looked and it's just sparkling water so I figured I would try it.
Quiet day here. This week has been dragging on. Tomorrow is Pajama Day at daycare so I need to do laundry tonight. I hope I can stay awake long enough to finish it.
Work has destroyed me this week. I'm both shocked that it's already Thursday yet disappointed I have to bust my butt for another day. Thank goodness we don't have weekend hours this week.
nuggetrn I think your husband is right, but don't tell him I said that lol. I am a HUGE raw cookie dough fan until I read a scary article about it.
ashleysyn Happy Birthday!! dashook Congrats on the awesome ultrasound!!! amberlie I'm sorry I don't have any insight for you but hopefully it resolves soon!

No I know he's right. I made him read the package to see if it was specifically labeled not to eat raw (I know some is safe).
I just get to be upset at him that he's the one that told me I couldn't eat it. Lol.
MH is on his way home with a sub for me. It is chicken steak (basically shaved chx breast), chili, cheese, peppers, and onions. I couldn't be more excited.

Anybody have a pet that had a poor response to vaccines? The pup got her second round today and she's been crying for a couple of hours, really warm to touch, and just miserable. I called the vet just because none of the other dogs (including her sister who was the same size at this age) have ever acted like this. Usually they're just a tad sleepy. They told me to call back if she starts having seizures or becomes unresponsive. WHAT?! I was expecting, "put some ice on it," or, "gently massage the area." Not that!
I looked at at what they gave her and they added in a bunch of the nonessential vaccines (not the core ones needed for grooming, kennel stays, county laws, etc.) and I'm pissed. The amount of money we spend there between the five dogs it obscene already, why throw in extra stuff she doesn't need to get more money?
That turned into a rant, I'm sorry. Just nervous. I know babies are grumpy and feverish after their vaccines, so maybe this is like that and the other dogs have just been lucky?
sophiegrace I agree it can definitely be a reaction to the vaccines and hopefully it doesn't get any worse. In my experience our pets have been a little sleepier and cuddlier the day they have gotten their shots.

Thank you nuggetrn, the constant crying just got to me. I don't know how to fix it. Half our dogs are also bully breeds and laugh at pain so I'm not used to the dramatics. She did put 3mL into a muscle that's about 2x2 inches so I think that it was wayyyy to much medicine to put in at a time.

Poor baby. Hope it doesn't last long and they get back to normal!!

sophiegrace, I hope your pup is feeling better and it was just a reaction to the shots. I haven't had any experience with that type of reaction before. I hope it passes quickly!
sophiegrace I don't have any experience with vaccine reactions but I'm sorry your pup isn't feeling good. I hope she feels better this morning. It's heartbreaking when our pets are upset.
