The biggest challenge for me was meal planning b/l/d and buying enough produce (it's a lot and people comment about my cart at the store...haha!). But you get the hang after a few weeks.
Check out Well Fed and Stupid Easy Paleo for whole30 guides. There's a forum through the whole30 website, too.
Give it a try! It's changed my way of eating for the better in many ways.

I'm hoping to eat more whole30/paleo once my treatments are done. I made it through about 2 weeks of the whole 30 in January and it was hard but I liked it. mightybee is a pro that helped me a ton.
In my opinion we should be eating that way- meat, fruit, veggies and minimal sugars and grains. So I tried to focus on that as I did the whole 30.
What did I eat? Lots of eggs, meat veggies some dried fruit, avocado sweet potatoes. I tried out new recipes which was fun too.
I know parenting just had a whole 30 recipe thread and if you search parenting they've had a lot of good threads on it.
mrsrek10 if you decide to do it, let me know. I'm here for moral support :-)
I have been reading more about it. I'm going to try to start weaning some things this week. Diet Cokes (my favorite) and high sugar foods. Since being pregnant, I have eaten like a kid. Pop tarts have been an easy breakfast for early morning nursing sessions and now my rushed mornings. I'm ready for a change and to feel better!
The one thing I've found so far is seltzer. I'm a Diet Coke lover too and the seltzer satisfies my need for bubbles, which I find I miss more than the sugar.
sarasansh My initial thought is probably not. The longer the ingredient list, the less likely Whole30 compliant. You can Google any ingredient + whole30 and get good information. Always helpful in the grocery aisles!
This link says technically compliant, but still not a great choice.

mightybee, it's hard to get rid of the diet cokes! I'm trying to wean them. I'm only allowing myself 1 a day now and plan to stop all together Monday. I'm ashamed to say that after Jack was born, I fell back into my Diet Coke addiction and would drink them all day....lots of them. I swear they put something in there that is addictive!
I have also started following a few Instagram recipe pages and are trying out some. I made a cabbage and beef recipe the other night. JA ate it! But DH was not a fan. I have to find things they will eat too. I refuse to cook 2 meals!
I wanted DH to do it too but he is a sweet addict. He eats dessert with every meal. I' don't have a sweet tooth so that part is not hard for me.
Don't be ashamed mrsrek10! Sounds like you have a good plan in place.
It's hard finding meals everyone will eat. I fall back on fish sticks for D some nights because I know he'll eat them and they're easy to heat while I make something the rest of us will eat. I try to look at the positive changes I'm making instead of harping on the not-so-healthy stuff. Slow and steady changes seem to work for me.
In addition to a few recipes each week, she also does a big cook up on the weekends to make meal time easier during the week. Think big batches of roasted veggies, cooked protein, prepped sauces so that you're not reinventing the wheel and doing a new recipe each night. It's not everyone's style, but I like the idea of batch cooking a bit when you have a little extra time.
Good luck Monday! What's on your meal plan list already?
mightybee I think the biggest challenge will be breakfast, so I've saved a bunch of make-ahead egg dishes. Since the weather will be nicer we're planning on a lot of grilled chicken and steak and big salads for dinner, and I figure I can eat leftovers for dinner. I've experimented with homemade mayo and salad dressing so we've got some good ideas there. I'm all about the lazy 30.
sarasansh, I follow whole30recipes, nomnompaleo, whole30approved, and thedefineddish right now. I like it bc they have pictures of the food. I like to see it, not just a recipe. I watched a lot of Food Channel while on leave and they say you eat first with your eyes...that is so me! I just judge new food by how it looks.
