Maybe I missed this in all the hooplah, but what's the take on Washington? She's not here right? Wasn't banned? I see she's still our BMB mod and is posting some.
She claims to still be moderating and did indeed post the "clarification" thread.
I know of another long standing mod that was de-mod and remains so. She wasn't banned, didn't speak out again BM and still has no answers. So it is interesting that some kept their mod powers at all.
Yeah, the mod of my first BMB was bumped down as well. I don't mind. She's a bitch in the worst way and left TB for FB a year and a half ago. How she was still a mod when she was last active Sept '13 was beyond me anyway.
I asked her and she said she is still modding, but all mods have been de-moted. I am guessing this is until the shit storm settles. It is nice to see her get in on conversations and tell some of those idiots that they are being just that (without the words). Like telling the "shame on you" person to stop and this... this I liked: traepiece said: Not gonna lie...I don't post much on here because the amount of rude and condescending comments I've seen. I'm afraid to say something or ask a question and be belittled for it. People get degraded on here for asking questions (yes some are VERY silly) but we have a lot of young and first time mom's on here that are clueless. I feel that the insensitive comments are simply uncalled for and unnecessary. Just scroll past if you don't like what someone is posting. We are supposed to be here for each other and support each other through this journey. Sorry had to say something.
WQ: I'm sorry, but no. I joined The Bump forums when I was 20. I am a lot smarter now than I was then, but even back then I wasn't as silly or absent minded as some of the questions posted. You know why? Because I took responsibility, read books, did research, and asked my midwife questions.
ETA: And honestly, that's all we really ask of people. We want posters to help themselves when they can and we offer support when needed.
