There are some ladies here that use the diva cup right? I am seriously considering getting one but I am not sure which size to get.
Get it!! There's a size guide, I think the larger one is of you are over 30 and/or have had a baby. My only issue is the length, I uh, have a very low cervix...so I would have to mess with it a little to get it in the correct spot.
I just switched to a Moon Cup and while it's only a few mm shorter it has made a huge difference.
Just read up on the different brands, but seriously, it's fantastic.

Well I am having problems deciding because I'm 28, so not technically 30 and I've given birth twice but they were both c-sections. I don't know what size to go with. My periods are pretty heavy right now and the bigger one might be easier to deal with, but I don't know.

I don't know about the Diva cup, but I have the Lena cup, in small. Their website gives you some guidelines for choosing the proper size, with considerations like cervix position, whether you have normal or heavy flow, etc. I really like mine.

I've had one for ages, but I can't get up the guts to use it.

Ok, so I think I had a poor choice of wording. I *believe* it says if you have had a pregnancy, then go larger....but, not 100% sure. I'd check the manufacturer's websites.

Use it!! No guts needed; it's only your vagina.
You won't regret it. Once it's in place it's like magic.

I also have the diva cup. I've been using size 1 for about 4 years. I have now had 1 CS and am 27. But I don't think I'm ready for size 2 yet at all. My SIL who has had natural birth to a set of twins and two singletons and is 31 uses size 2.

Do you have heavy periods? Do you have to dump it all the time?
I am done nagging H about his taxes. Between his slow ass tax guy and his extremely part time "office manager" who takes a full day + to respond to any emails, and my husband who doesn't appear to feel any urgency, I am resigned to filing for an extension.

I've been using a diva cup for a few periods and it's a good alternative. I got a shorter cup for the first few days because holy cramps. It's still not a perfect way of managing, but it's better than pads or tampons. I wind up wearing a liner as well because leaking is somewhat inevitable.
This past weekend DH and I tried to get enough stuff moved into our new house that we could start staying there. Due to miscommunications between us we failed and now we're in house transition hell with some of our stuff at the old house and some of our stuff at the new house. I'm a sad (and frustrated) panda. But at least I only have one night this week I won't be able to work on moving stuff over so maybe we'll make it in this coming weekend.
Yay for new house! But I know how tough that in between stage can be. We closed almost a month before we had to be out of our apartment, so we had plenty of time to move stuff over slowly. I don't know if that was better or worse that one big move day... We still had to get the truck and movers for the furniture and what not, so we didnt get to sleep at the house until the big move day.
I hope the rest of the move goes smooth for you, lots of wine

I can wear it for the same time period as a regular tampon. I only ever had some leaks (minor) the first couple cycles. There's a bit of a learning curve. After that- easy!

Do it!!!! Wear a pad with it at first just in case you don't get the suction/position right.

Rant: So yesterday the oral surgeon wouldn't write me a prescription for an antibiotic even though I told him that I felt like the infection was back. He said that he didn't want my body to build a resistance to the antibiotic in case I need one after the surgery. It makes sense, but I'm in a lot of pain at the moment and I'm not sure how to deal with that for the next 9 days.

So I finally finished my practice cabinet door! I liked it up until I added the wax finish. I'm going to have to practice on another door using a different kind of wax or a different application method. The brushstrokes are horrible and the wax was not what I saw in my tutorial videos.
Do people really drink water out of the shower spout? Like this has never even occurred to me during any of the eleventy thousand showers I've taken in my life.
Yes, especially since the water is so hot -- not refreshing at all!

Well, I am proud of myself for setting up my first counseling appointment! I need it. It'll be good. I have some quinoa, coconut and cranberry cookie mix in the pantry that I should whip up as a reward for getting stuff done
