I've never found a natural one that actually works. I use the real stuff and focus on spraying it on his clothing and shoes. If that's not working, we go inside. The mosquitoes in our yard are awful.
I'm really glad you posted this thread because I hadn't even thought about it although with baby arriving sometime in the next month, we probably won't spend a whole lot of time outside around bugs.
Has anyone used those stickers or bracelets that are suppose to repel? I'm considering picking them up for when the newborn arrives... with Nora we use DEET family or whatever. I think it's the least amount used which is 15%

We used the honest company one and it worked well when I remembered to use it. I was thinking about getting the bracelets ice61313 had mentioned. The reviews on Amazon are hit and miss.

Johnson and Johnson Creamy Baby Oil (green tube). It is amazing and now I can't find it anywhere but I have been promised it is coming back to shelves in May!

I thought I had heard it was somehow bad? I could be making stuff up.

I mean you could be right...I never heard anything but it worked like a charm so that means something must be off!
Last summer I used a lush bar (something with peach in the name I think?) and it worked surprisingly well! Just don't let it melt. I had to replace mine after it melted and resolidified weird

I tried the OFF fan thingy. You clip it onto your shorts and it has a little fan that I guess blows the repellent around?? I normally get eaten alive - and I would just stick that between me and DD last summer when she played in her pool. Worked well for both of us.

I've heard this but I'm so leery of their products.

I'm considering getting our yard treated for mosquitos by our pest control company. Anyone tried this??? We use an all natural pest control company so everything is safe for kids and pets and have had good results so far. Just not sure how the yard treatment would work out.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing, we have a natural spring that runs through our yard so it's a perfect home for mosquitos. I'll let you know if we end up doing it.

+1 the "woods" behind our house is actually protected wetlands connected to the bay. Wetlands = too many bugs!
