I'm calling out the three people who asked me what was wrong with my face. It's obviously a rash that I'm trying to cover up, why would you say anything?

If anyone does that to you again tell them it is a side effect of your chemo and make them feel super awkward.
I'm calling out my cousin's MOH. We threw a bachelorette party and my family is putting together a shower in a few weeks. In addition, the MOH figured my cousin needed ANOTHER party (without asking any of the bridesmaids what we thought) and now she wants us to help plan and bring things for it. I didn't even want the stupid party to begin with, but now I have to buy another gift and bring more stuff. Gee, thanks.
somethingcleverer, I have never understood why people feel it's appropriate to make comments about someone's appearance. I would totally be tempted to tell them it's from my chemo just like paddyb said. It would serve them right.
My twat so far today was the employee who called wanting their W-2 ASAP like it was our fault she moved and didn't change her address with us. Then she waits until 2 days before April 15 to even call. Whatever.

I should do that paddyb I'm surprised none of my patients at work have figured it out. They keep asking if Ive done something different with my hair or why I haven't been around.

summergirl1211 what? A bachelorette party and a shower is more than enough! No one gets more than that.
I hate that jennmm. At the pharmacy it's always "well I'm going on vacation in 10 minutes and I have to have it now". Why would you want to plan ahead?

somethingcleverer, exactly! But apparently she needs a "panty party" so we need to buy lingerie (not cheap!!). And I'm driving down to IL for both parties and not all of my family members were invited, so I'm bummed I won't have more time with my mom and grandma while I'm there. I love my cousin but it just sucks. I would have much rather had an informal get together where everyone was invited.

Uh....that's weird. I've never heard of having a separate party to give lingerie. I've always given lingerie at the bachelorette.
somethingcleverer what in the actual fuck? I do not understand how people think they have the right to comment on someone's appearance like that. They are huge TWs and you are beautiful. I'm so sorry girl.
jennmm so annoying. I'm getting those calls now too.
summergirl1211 that MOH seems like a real peach. Either invite everyone or no one from your family. That's rude and obnoxious. And enough with the parties in general; a panty party after already having a bachelorette is ridiculous.
I can't think of a TW right now. I must not be feeling well. I'll come back with one before the day is over I'm sure.

summergirl1211 - Does the MOH not understand that you normally give lingerie at a bachelorette party. And maybe you should inform her it's called a "personal shower". Panty party is tacky.
somethingcleverer People are so rude. I witnessed a family friend comment about my grandma's hair thinning from her chemo. My grandma is always the type to be very put together when she goes out. I know it crushed her for someone to say something. People are so rude and have no filter. I would 100% tell them the reason and I wouldn't even try to cover it up. You're kicking cancers ass - you can be proud of that.

Ugh all of these Twat waffles. I hate them for you guys.
Number 1, me. I flipped out on Kevin last night because he picked up dinner and messed up my order. I am talking full on, 3 year old-esque tantrum because he got me pasta instead of a wrap. It was completely ridiculous. I apologized this morning for being such a dick and he handled it well, but geeze I am quite an asshole lately.
Number 2, my boss. Not my direct boss (love her!), but her boss, and I work with both of them. She came over yesterday freaking out for 20 minutes about something she needed immediately but couldn't tell me what she needed. I had to tell her to sit down, calm down, and tell me what she needed. It was done in ten minutes, I emailed it, and then ten minutes after that she came back over yelling at me that it wasn't being done quickly enough. I already sent it to you, lady. She never apologized and instead blamed my computer. Uh, okay.
somethingcleverer, I am so sorry. I hate when I am caught off guard like that and then think of what to say later. That person can seriously go suck a butt if they thought that was appropriate. People are so rude.
my coworker. She is really abusing our appointment/time off policy. We are allowed to leave for appointments and still get paid, but not have to use PTO. Most people attempt to plan them later in the day or early morning or during a lunch hour and not take a ton of time off. I shoot for 4 or later appointments. This coworker doesn't come in until 9-915 every day. And then yesterday she took a 3.5 hour lunch. Today she then left at 11, came back at 12:15 and then left again at 12:45 and took a 1.5 hour lunch. She also has another appointment tomorrow at 11 so it will be the same as today.
Her appointments are hair, nail, and pedi appointments. Very rarely are they medical and I think that's what the policy was meant to include not grooming ones.
bliz1712 do you work with my H bc he has the same problem with one of his coworkers. She takes like 2 hour lunch everyday. So now he walks up to the boss and asks "oh is R coming back any time today?" Annoying
My TW - is my whole class except for 4. They are so rude to each other and constantly fight. If they didn't fight I could just deal, but breaking up fights everyday is really stressful. I only have about 7 school days left and I can't wait. I'll miss the 4 kids that are super awesome though.
Aunt Flo is my twatwaffle. Last month I was on my period for my marathon and it was overall pretty light. Well she is back with a vengeance this month. Heavy bleeding, cramps, yesterday I was a bit lightheaded after lunch, and then I had a headache all evening and two nights ago and tonight I am super nauseated. Oye.

WTH is wrong with people? That's an insane amount of appointments and if they're not medically related she shouldn't be doing them during the workday except for the rare occasion. She's clearly taking advantage of the policy. Unreal.

This is my life too. Once my period came back after having Cecilia it was actually pretty normal for about 3 months and now its ridiculous again every month. I bleed for about half the month (1 week light consistent spotting, 1 week full out heavy period, headaches, cramps, the works) then I have like a good 4-5 days, then I ovulate and get the worst cramps again for several days, then have maybe 3 more good days and then I'm bleeding again. It stupid. I have my annual at the beginning of June (I think) so I will talk to my OBGYN then...I don't want to do hormonal BC though so I'm not really sure what can be done about it.
My sister. As I have mentioned before, she lives with my parents and takes complete advantage of them. Well, my mom is having a knee replacement next week and my parents wanted to switch rooms with her so that my mom would not need to climb the stairs. My sister was refusing because the bathroom upstairs is in the middle of a remodel and she did not want to go down stairs to use the bathroom at night. She wanted my mom to have to climb the stairs! Finally her boyfriend stepped in and told her she was being ridiculous and that my mom's needs trumps her wants (go boyfriend!).
My sister also called me yesterday to ask if I was going to come down and help my mom out at all while she was recovering (I live 2 hours away). I said of course. I will be there. Just let me know when she needs me! She said the Monday after because she needs to work and my mom would have just got out of the hospital the day before. I of course agree. She then starts telling me her kids' schedules for the day! She never secured back up childcare for her kids while my mom was recovering! She is planning on having me drive two hours each way to watch her kids for her, all while claiming it is to help my mom. I am not doing that every day for her. Sorry. She is not pleased with me because I am only going to watch her kids for one day.

lainikins, that's ridiculous! I can't believe she didn't even ask you, just assumed you would do it and then got upset when you said no. Clearly your time needs to be focused on helping your mom, not taking care of her kids too. What a TW.

lainikins, I'd completely ignore your sister's kids and leave her out on her butt to figure it out. Just be there for your mom. Be nice enough aunt, but don't offer to drive around at all. Screw that! Ridiculous. I'm sorry.
Can I nominate my stroller? 2 flat tires last night at 1 am after I got out of the plane with a sleeping child, 3 carry-ons, 2 huge suitcases and it won't push or steer? Yeah, that was awesome.

Wow lainikins I'm glad your sister's boyfriend spoke up. I can't believe she wouldn't change rooms in your parents house. Doesn't she realize it's their house and that can do whatever they want in it?

The simple answer is, no she does not. She needs to always be in control and her needs are more important than anyone else's. It has caused a lot of problems in our family over the years. We do let a lot of it just roll off because it is just her being her and we know it at this point, but this was just crazy to me.

I'll continue this today too. My coworker is a TW. He's been in his job for over 3 years now and still has no clue how to sell any of the products he supports. A customer asked a very straight-forward request and he can't even handle it by himself. So even though it's been a crazy busy morning, I need to jump on a call to support a customer that isn't mine because he's an idiot. I've been swearing loudly at my computer all morning. It's a good thing I'm working from home today.
I have one today too. The business leader for the other business unit I support. He's in the office all week and decides there is something critically important that he NEEDS to talk to me today about because of course he's on PTO all next week. I always block my whole Friday out so no one schedules me for calls because I work from home and it's impossible but I do take emergency stuff obviously. This is not an emergency, it is just him not managing his time better and now I have to figure out how I'm going to make this work today.

Since we're talking about TW coworkers... The annoying older tech I work with was awful yesterday. She just went on nonstop about how much she hates the new computer system. Plus she had two weeks with trainers in the store to practice but can't tell me how to do something if I ask. I only had one day working with the trainer and I have a better grasp of the system than she does. I probably wouldn't mind her not being able to work the computer if she didn't constantly complain. Her negative attitude gives me a pounding headache by 3pm.
