pbandj714 glad they are on top of it even though that does stinks! Thinking of you.
Last week I worked most of the week on cleaning out the house. I have done the girls rooms, bathroom, dining room, kitchen, living room and our closet and bathroom. I have had so many bags of just junk. Why do we even have all that and a couple donate bags. I also sold some baby things I won't use again and cleaned out/sold some toys. I still have to do our room and basement but this nesting stuff is serious business! The exciting part is that our house feels clean and I got to use some of the money to get a new shower curtain and bathroom stuff for the girls bathroom and a couple baby things. Also my MIL just ordered a ring sling for me so I'm really excited about that.
DD's birthday is coming up soon too so I've been having fun planning that. I'm thinking it will make these next couple weeks go by pretty fast. I need to soak up these last 9 1/2 weeks of just her and I during the day but I'm also so excited to meet DD2 so I'm glad I have distractions!

I've been MIA but catching up now as I sit at the airport... t-minus 3ish hours until DD time! (And H too, I suppose )
The baby has been engaged in serious movement lately. I feel like you can see it across the room. He feels like he's getting so strong. How do you all know if baby is tranverse or breech? Due to scans, or is there some other indicator?

Happy Friday!
I finally remembered today to ask if I'll have any more ultrasounds and the doctor told me they don't do any after the A/S unless there is a concern. So I have the same question, can they tell if baby is breech without a US? I know there is plenty of time for flipping now. It it seems like a big piece of information you need before labor.

Thank heavens, DH just texted that he isn't racing this weekend because he's too busy.
manybellsdown, vivela, last time my OB could tell by feeling about a month out from my EDD. I have no idea how they know, but I guess that's their job. I think she started checking once they start doing the cervix checks during the last month. I didn't have any US past the A/S last time or this time. I was also 1cm a month out and still had to be induced. I was 4cm when I checked in to the hospital for my inductions and still hadn't gone into labor.

Typically the dr will check by feel (basically a cervical check to feel if it's the head) or by US if they aren't confident by feel. For my son who was breech, I felt all my kicks really low and a big hard thing in my ribs (his head), I didn't realize he was breech though. It wasn't until my second kid who was very obviously head down that I noticed the difference. All kicks (and very distinct feet) up high under my ribs and hiccups right on my cervix.
My OB with DS told me around 36 weeks that he was almost positive that DS was head down based on the way my belly looked. He palpated my belly to confirm. I guess maybe it helped that he had been doing that for 30 years (or maybe just a lucky guess).
Floor Reno starts Monday. We are packing up most of the house this weekend and moving as much as we can into the garage. I'm tired just thinking about it. I know the new floors will be worth it, but ughhhh.
