I'm looking at the Spectra S1, but haven't purchased anything yet. My insurance covers a pump, but it's the ameda purely yours and I haven't heard many good things about it. I'll probably use FSA to get the one I want.

I bought the spectra s1 this time. Last time I had Medela PISA I did like it and wOuld use it again but the motor/diaphragm (I think) were not working well anymore and were no longer effective. I like that the spectra is a closed system and that it is a hospital grade pump.
I had planned to get the medela but I ended up choosing Ameda. The hospital pump I'm renting is Ameda and I'm just used to that brand now. It works just fine for me.
Whatever you do, get a hands free bra. Holding those things on sucks. Also definitely get electric.
I also ordered the Pump in Style. My DME provider (healthy baby essentials) also offers the option of adding Freemie collection cups, which I decided to do. My wardrobe will need some updating to allow for pumping - hopefully the Freemie cups will alleviate some of that.
