I'm expecting my 2nd in Oct. We still have most of our things from my son (born 2012) and those are all gender neutral so no need to purchase new if this baby is a girl.
Is there anything in specific that you ladies recommend when having a 2nd child?
Older child is 4 and won't ride in a stroller, I will also primarily be wearing baby (I have both a wrap and a carrier) so a double stroller isn't needed.

Check expiration dates on your car seats, if you saved them.
For baby #2, you need safe places to set the newborn. With an older first, it's a little easier because they understand, "don't touch." But bouncy seat, swing, PNP, rnp, anything along those lines that needs to be replaced?
I really loved the mamaroo swing. I got mine used from a friend.
I really liked Ingenuity's washable PNP, too. I used that as a bassinet, so being able to wash the mattress after milk upchuck was amazing.

I'm in the same boat. My first just turned 4. We skipped the double-stroller. The only gear I bought was an Auto RNP because they didn't really have them when DS was born and a new carrier (Lillebaby).
We got new furniture for DS #1 because DS #2 will use his crib furniture.
New pacifiers, bottles, diaper cream, infant toys, etc were all added to my registry (I made the registry for myself... not having a shower)... but really we didn't need to buy much!
