C has nursed every hour or so since 2:00. She is 5 weeks today. Early 6 week growth spurt? My boobs are tired!
I'm pretty sure this was us yesterday and K is 1 day older than C! Today has been lots of sleeping. She slept from 6:30-9:30 this evening. I woke her up to get her changed and fed and she's back asleep, but I have a feeling we won't get the typical 6 hour stretch she's been doing.
That keeps happening. It's weird how our babies seem to mirror each other.
My baby is sick:( he has a cold and my heart breaks every time he coughs. Needless to say not much sleep was had last night. He has a terribly stuffy nose (I tried to suck it out...nothing comes out) and has a dry cough. Poor little man
TTC since Sept 2012 M/C on 5/01/13 at 8 wks AF finally appeared 11 wks later per Provera Diagnosed with PCOS on 7/29/13 Three Failed Medicated Cycles, NTNP Indefinitely BFP #2 9/14/14, EDD 5/23/15...MMC discovered @ 9w2d; D&C 10/23/14 ***BFP #3 7/4/15, LO born 3/17/16***
So the first half of the day was so good and the second was so miserable. We went to the doctors, BWI meeting and then lunch but I guess maybe it was all too much for LO...
After she woke up from her lunch nap she alternated nursing and screaming all afternoon and evening with a brief 40 min nap break. Then she spit up so much (of course) in our bed (of course). She finally seems to be down now (knock on wood) and I am taking a bath.
Of course this afternoon from hell happens on H's long day at school, he doesn't get home 830-9. I am so spent!
So it's crazy to me that lots of ladies "popped" out LOs bigger than B is at 5wks old (tomorrow). She weighed 8lbs3oz today and was born at 40+2.
Yeah K was 8lb3oz at birth. I think she's close to 11 lbs now.... rolls of chub forming on this girl. But the ladies who were carrying 10-lbers I give major props to. Holy cow.

DH gets the blame over here for the big baby. He and his siblings were all over 10.5 pounds at birth. Maybe the next one will take after me and be normal sized? LOL

C has spit up a LOT today and been extra fussy and keeps doing the reflux leg kick. I sure hope this isn't the beginning of reflux again. I was really hoping not to have to travel down that road with her like we did with her brother!

What is the reflux leg kick?
When my son's was at its peak he would pull his legs in toward his stomach then kick them out forcefully. It's always how we knew it was time to up the dose of his reflux medicine.

C has a cold, it is so sad and I can't do much to help him. He is frustrated when nursing because it is hard to breathe. I hope he can sleep ok tonight.

Maybe you tried this, but would a humidifier work for his congestion? If so, maybe having one on nearby while nursing might help?

I'm sitting waiting with a tired baby at my 6 week pp GYN appointment. The appointment was half an hour ago, and I'm still in the waiting room, which is filled with people. Ugh.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, we have one going all night every night. He seems to be doing ok. The Nose Frida is my best friend!

Invited bil & sil over for dinner even though dh & I ate exhausted today. We want to make baked roast chicken sandwiches to be easy. Apparently they're on a no carb cleanse and won't eat them. I told dh to forget it then we aren't making a big dinner. Now they've invited us to their house instead and I'm feeling bitchy and don't want to go. No interest in loading both kids back up to go out for the third time today. I'm all willing to accommodate allergies but some random diet you are on when I just saw sil today eat a cupcake and a bun?

They sound either very clueless or inconsiderate. Maybe both.
