This is her 3rd. Her kids are 8 & 10, so old enough to help out a bit. We're not close. We were good friends in college, but I haven't actually spoken to her in 10+ years. I don't know if she is serious about this or not. I'd like to think not, but she was always a little different.
Obviously it would be nice if people helped. I think bring dinner/get to hold the baby is pretty standard. And for good friends/family, I'd be happy to do more housework, but because I wanted to help them, not to pay the price of admission to hold baby!
I've seen this before. Definitely comes off as entitled to me. Lady, if I hold your baby, it is a service to you. So you can eat or pee or something.
This. OMG I'm hating people today. Maybe it's reverse psychology; she doesn't want people to visit, so this is the way to discourage it because no one is going to want to.
