I think DS must be possessed by a spirit or something. Yesterday was one of the worst days behavior-wise he's ever had. He threw a fit when I picked him up from daycare because I wouldn't let him take daycare toys home with us (he has a billion toys at home). I ended up having to fireman carry him out of there. Then, he refused to walk from the car to the house. Then, he threw a tantrum when I wanted to change his clothes and diaper right away (his normal routine). Then he was screaming at me and hit me when we washed his hands. Luckily, he ate dinner well! Then, it took 45 minutes of scream-crying for him to go to bed. I think he knows I'm becoming the weak link. You will not defeat me, toddler!
ETA and his temp was normal and his 2 year molars are already in all the way
As for me - i hit a new low today. I put my pants on backwards today... and didn't notice until I went to the bathroom at work. I thought they felt weird, but i thought it was just because I was getting huge. Oi.
Just had an OB appointment. Moving right along. Hopefully for the surgery date by Friday. Why is it when you try to schedule more tha one physician it is a mess of schedules!!!

I had an appt yesterday and will get an ultrasound in 4 weeks! Yea for seeing baby again!
I bought DS some workbooks to keep him entertained at the hospital while he waits with my mom for Little Bro to be born. He saw the box, opened it, decided he was done playing outside and sat down and did the entire maze workbook. He was so excited and loved it. I bought the next level up last night and will hide the box when it comes!
I also bought the twistable crayons and they're so cool. How did I not know about these things before? And the workbook was a total random as another mom at DC was asking what workbook they were using in his class and DS has been asking me for projects to do at home which usually ends up being coloring or painting. I remember loving workbooks as a kid and my grandma would give me a little baggie of candy for finishing a workbook, which I would then use to bribe my brother into doing my chores. I did not tell DS that part, only that I loved them too when I was a kid!

I'm home and got a huge hug from ds and "welcome home mama!" Now of course im tired and he's not napping I made last minute plans to go to a friends house this weekend about 4 hours away. We have very limited amount of weeks left to do things so I want to make the most of it.
My husband did such a great job with ds this week. I'm not shocked, just grateful. I do it all the time when he travels and I know it's hard, but he never complained and genuinely enjoyed their boy time together. Makes me appreciate and respect my husband a little more.
Good luck scheduling bighair12! That sounds like a huge ordeal... hopefully it will be settled soon.
My MIL surprised us today by emailing MH a gift certificate to the restaurant around the corner from our apartment! Our anniversary is next week, so she wanted to do something nice for us. It was such an unexpected gift!
babyzebra, I'm traumatized just from reading your post. Why are toddlers so difficult?! I'm not looking forward to that stage. My cousin is always talking about her toddler daughter who gives her a hard time. Hang in there, he wont break you.
titania, that was really sweet of your MIL. I hope you guys have an enjoyable anniversary weekend.
I had my work shower, but my family & friends/big shower is a week and a half away, and I still need to figure out what I'm wearing and whether I want to go with professional makeup or do my own makeup. I'm leaning towards doing my own. I'm not that talented of a makeup artist (I basically know how to apply concealer, blush, mascara and lipstick/gloss, but I don't know how to do eye makeup nor do I own foundation). The shower is a really big deal (approx. 60 guests and at a location that my friends/mom will not disclose to me), and I know people will be taking a lot of pictures. My face looks so tired these days. I have dark circles under my eyes and a few blemishes that are remnants of pregnancy acne. I look like I haven't had a good night's sleep in months...wait, I haven't had a good night's sleep in months lol I didn't get professional makeup for my bridal shower, but I also looked way better the month before my wedding than I do the month before I'm to give birth.

My go-to for getting my make-up done is MAC. When you buy $50 of product (doesn't even have to be foundation if you don't think you'll wear it again!) they'll do your make up for free.
It's one of my favorite brands so I did it for all my wedding showers, engagement pictures, I take my little sister for proms/formals, etc. I'm a big fan. Haha
woodengirl07, Have a wonderful shower and let us know how it is!!
babyzebra, I am with you. So sorry. That was DS yesterday. The thing that has been encouraging to me on days like that is to remember that each day is a new day. Sometimes my DS just "wakes up on the wrong side of the crib" as we like to say. I keep trying to find reasons for what is going on-but I think it's just being 2. I also think they sense when something huge is about to change. Several of my friends with 2 year olds and newborns say that their 2 year old acted like that the month before the new baby came. I hope today is a better day for you guys! You are not alone!
bgkc4, You always look so cute, I am sure you will look beautiful regardless! That is one huge shower!
For STM+, what is your plan for your toddler when baby arrives? Maybe I should make a separate thread for this. Are you packing them a bag? Are you getting them a "gift" for the baby and a gift for them from the baby? DS just turned 2, so I'm not sure if he'll understand and if it's worth the effort, or if it would be a sweet thing to do. Are you doing anything else to prepare? I was going to buy him a baby doll but haven't done that yet and am not sure if I will or if it will be a waste?
^^moments before the flooring guys showed up. That's why there is no decor or curtains. We had basically moved out, minus the furniture.
^^last night when I came to check progress.
They pulled about 400sf of tile and about 700sf of carpet yesterday, leveled everything out, and started installation. I can't WAIT to have them done and move back in. I'm really nervous, but so excited to have no more carpet in our main areas. Still to go is the dining room, entry way, playroom and the remainder of the living room. Squeee!!!! I can't wait to go back tonight and see how far they've gotten!
bgkc4carolinaheart Sephora has the same deal. Spend $50 get your makeup done.
I didn't know this! Have you had this done there? Are the employees there pretty well trained?
My only experience there was lacking but that was a long time ago and I'd like to try new brands.
Yes I've done it a couple times. I suck at makeup so anything someone else does is better than anything I could do. I like Sephora because then they can use multiple brands of makeup.

I had a very nice shower at work. They got lunch for everyone who came, and several people brought me presents. We got lots of cute clothes and other things. People love to buy baby clothes I think.
My fellow managers all chipped in and bought us a Pack'n'Play! Super nice. I have a bunch of thank you notes to write!
I am washing DD's for the fourth time in two days!! She has had accidents at nap the last three days. She hadn't had one in months. Then we tried night time and she peed then!! Ugh!

happyday, those floors look great! I hate carpet. Fortunately all the houses around here are old so most have hardwood floors, but the presence of tons of carpet is currently a deal-breaker for us in our house hunt. That and an electric stove in the kitchen. I don't care about anything else!
Just got done with our maternity tour. I had to ride around in a wheel chair because of the mod bed rest. I hate being a spectacle. But I'm listening to the doctors orders!
Now I'm waiting for DH to pick some things up at Lowe's and hope I can sweet talk him into grabbing milkshakes on the way home.
pbandj714 good job listening to Doctor. That has to be hard! My husband had to go to some banquet tonight and I just texted him asking to bring me home a milkshake too
