I am planning to work till I can't. I am due the 16th and the last day of school is the 21st. I'm hoping I can just hang on to the end to keep things uncomplicated with work, but I know my boss will be great if I go in and say I need to leave early. I'm mostly concerned about how hot my classroom gets in mid to late June. I think I can handle it, but we will see! I've told DH and my coworkers that they should feel free to tell me I'm insane if I am lying in a puddle of sweat on my classroom floor insisting I'm fine. I love work, and combine that with being someone who is uncomfortable admitting when I don't feel well... I might need to be told to go home.
nitecheese: I think woodengirl07 is being induced due to cholestasis (correct me if I'm wrong woodengirl07).
I'm trying to work up to delivery. However, I've decided that if I really start to suffer, I will take off 2 days a week for weeks 38, 39 and 40 so that I'm only working 3 days a week as opposed to 5. I have a little over a months worth of vacation and sick time, but don't want to use too much of it because my maternity leave is unpaid so I need my vacation and sick days in order to have some sort of income while I'm out. But I'll sacrifice 5-6 days if I need to.
I'm putting my last day as my due date, but I'm preparing to leave any time after 37 weeks. I need to hand in report cards by then anyways and my classroom is a dungeon in the basement with websites that barely crack and no AC. My sub is lined up and I have emergency plans set up for my students.
Andrea, hugs, lady! Have you already watched all the netflix, etc?
I knew I should have added more choices to the poll like "I'm already off work, yo" and "I can't take time off, stop rubbing it in"
I just remembered we have Amazon on the PS4. I've been binge watching Friends & Gilmore Girls cause #classic. But I think if MH hears those theme songs one more time (he works from home) he's going to kick me out.
Amazon prime has some great shows! Catastrophe is funny if you are into sarcastic dark humor. Mad dogs was good in a thriller/drama sorta way. The other day we watched a movie with Ryan Reynolds that was pretty good called Captive. I know bed rest is hard. I was on bedrest for 2w at the beginning of my pregnancy and it was hard. Hats off to you. You got this!

I toyed with the idea of working up to the weekend before my EDD which is June 20, but since I'm a veterinarian and they need to find a relief doctor to cover my shifts I didn't think it would be fair on my coworkers to cut it so close. So new plan is finishing week 38 and starting maternity leave on week 39. I plan on taking 12w unpaid and 1 week paid vacation. We have been budgeting for it but it still is scary.

Also a fan of Mozart in the Jungle on prime! Good luck

I'm going to work until labor. That was my plan last time as well, but of course labor never came. I worked until I finished my last task and took off as of 40w4d. She didn't arrive until induction five days later. I don't need the drama of water breaking at work or anything, but it was all very anticlimactic.

My plan is to keep working as long as possible, but the MFM is saying that they think they don't want me to go back 39 weeks due to my blood pressure and cord abnormality, so we'll see. I have twice weekly fetal monitoring starting next week so I'll already be at work fewer hours than normal. If I'm getting really uncomfortable by mid-June, I might ask to work from home.
I was going to work until the very end, but my dad is coming to visit 2 weeks early to be here in case baby is early... so since my work offers fully paid leave for 4 weeks before EDD, I'm taking 2 weeks off before due date when my dad arrives to keep him company. Might as well, it's free paid time anyway...
I'm working until May 31st, my due date is June 4th. I just started this job in January so aside from getting very little guaranteed maternity leave (and zero paid leave outside of sick and vaca time used) I feel an obligation to stick it out as long as I can. In a couple of weeks I might start working from home here and there, I have an hour commute each way and most days I don't 'have' to be in the office. Fortunately (or rather unfortunately), just by looking at my any day now pregnant looking state, I don't think my boss will make objections.
With DS I took off 3 weeks prior to my due date, it was nice, but not in the cards this time.
I'm working until May 31st (will be 37 weeks and change) with plans to play it by ear after that. I'm an optometrist so my schedule will be closed in June but if there's no sign of baby and I'm feeling great I'll still go in and see walk ins and emerges.
My EDD is 6/13 and I was planning on working through 6/8. My OB told me yesterday not to plan to work beyond 6/1 and that I could start leave a month before my EDD if I wanted. So I'm thinking maybe I'll work through the first week of June but not try to make it the second week now....we'll see how the next few weeks go!
I'm working up until I deliver. Right now I'm in the process of trying to get a temporary parking pass for my building (it's very limited parking, so only the very high ups get them, but I know the right people to talk to .... they are working on making an exception for me). If i have to, I can work from home too, but I like getting in face time at the office. I keep an extra cell phone charging cord in my purse in case I end up needing to go to labor and delivery from work.
I was induced with DD due to hypertension, so I am some-what expecting the same this time. I won't know what to do if I actually go into labor on my own!
Mis-read this as in case I need to deliver at work. (Yikes.)
My friend suggested keeping the hospital bag in my car in case I need to go straight to the hospital from work/elsewhere.
