Am I hoverer? When you guys take your kiddos to the park, are you letting them climb everything alone? She is far from mastering stairs and I was helping her but looking around felt like some kids were just doing their own thing even if unsteady. (although its hard to tell with kids ages, one girl looked younger than H and her mother said she was 2)

I'm a hoverer. E is so much smaller than the other big kids running around and they don't watch where they're going so she'll get knocked over. If there's no one on the playground I give her more freedom.

I stay with him at the park. He can climb and will climb up to the top of a slide, and I I'm afraid he will fall.

Dude, do it. I had D on disposables for the first couple of weeks and i have no idea how people do it.

I am a hoverer when other kids are around. I am very un-hovery at home, or when C's the only one playing. He's pretty cautious so I don't worry about him doing something dangerous. I worry that he'll be standing there cautiously while another daredevil child runs him over.

FFFC: C only has 2 pairs of shoes: 1 pair of regular ol' sneakers and 1 pair of sandals. So far all of his shoes have come from Once Upon a Child.

@100poppies, I'm unsure about flip flops too right now. She did not like one pair of dress sandals I bought that were between the toes so I don't think flops will be a go

Some of it is sweet.  But her list of "you need to" is really pushy. Like, not everyone needs to put their kid to bed early, or invest in their marriage (hello single parents), or pray, or whatever. That was a little annoying. I'm going to see what parenting says..

Yeah I guess I was just relating to the feeling like I'm pulled in a million directions and thinking the ending was sweet about how it is the best stage of life too when they love you more than anything right now

OMG, this is me taking everything so personally... like the gun joke on my facebook. I need to get a life!
But yes, it definitely tugs at the heartstrings.

I would have liked it better if it were written from her perspective, and not her trying to cover the feelings of every mom ever. I also get defensive about working mom guilt. Sometimes I wish I could spend more time with L, but I don't feel guilty that work...

yes somedays I feel like a better mom that I do work. While my job annoys the shit out of me and I would love to win the lottery and GTFU, I also don't know that I have the chops to be a SAHM....

My kid tries to kill himself on a daily basis so I basically have to follow him around everywhere. I don't even feel comfortable leaving him in his room for very long because he tries to climb up his bookshelf.

He got some hand me down sandals last summer that he is comfortable in but they are almost too small. I got him some cheap old navy ones and some gap ones but those are still too big at the moment and keep falling off. I like that they are easy to get on him for playing in the back yard. If we actually go anywhere with walking he wears tennis shoes.

I could never be a SAHM so I have no guilt with being a working mom. I am just not cut out for it. Sometimes I wonder if I was cut out to be a mom at all but that's usually when i am stressed and feeling overwhelmed.

I go back and forth between two pairs of black flats.

L rotates regularly through:

grey and hot pink sneakers
leopard print boots (these are her fave)
black mary-janes
white mary janes
hot pink fuggs (I guess those need to be put away since Spring is here to stay!)
And about 7 other pair that we have already packed up.

Of the above, we purchased 2. All others were hammies!

I don't think you have too many shoes there's a lot more variety for girls than for boys. I should probably get C some dress shoes to wear to church. He's been asking to wear his old too-small pair recently.

Random but remember when I said that H has been waking up wet every morning, clothes, sheet and all? Well today her diaper was bone dry, like not a single pee! I find this very odd, lol

Just got home. The procedure took like 20 minutes. It was weird being awake for it. I'm eating some ice cream and just took a pain pill. I'm feeling nauseous so let's hope I don't pule everywhere!

Did you not have the twilight drugs? Like you are supposedly awake but don't remember anything? i had Versed, it was glorious
