Did anyone get put on driving restriction after giving birth? I swear the doctor did not say this but maybe I zoned out, dh said the doctor said 6 weeks due to my hemorrhaging post partum. I mean I'm more than happy to be chauffered around but how did I miss that?
I was put on a 2 week no driving rule. I was told it was because I had an epidural

Thanks, I remembered the two week but the six weeks threw me for a loop, but hey I prefer to not drive so I guess this is a good thing, dh can take me places or people can come to me :-)

I couldn't drive for a week but I didn't have any pp hemorrhaging.

I hemorrhaged quite badly, needing a blood transfusion afterwards, but still wasn't told not to drive. I guess it could be implied though since they told me not to do much aside from nurse and sleep and to make sure DH was nearby when I showered as fainting post-infusion is quite common.
I really like my Moby, G isn't super thrilled when she's awake so far but is a great sleeper in it. Just need to remember to dress her lightly because she'll start sweating. Human furnace like her daddy.
I lost my Ergo. Had it at my mom's with all other new baby gear while house floors installed and haven't seen it since. Found all other gifts from that bag but not the Ergo. It's really pissing me off! How could it just disappear??
I found it at target but it could have been me overwhelmed with an inconsolable child that just made it seem complicated to get on.
The first few times I used the Moby I thought it was too complicated to wrap, but now that I've used it so often, it's not hard at all to put on and put him in!
Awesome!! You're right once I had it on and him in I loved it so I think it will just take some practice
DH is still not home. No call or text. He knows I want to go to roller derby tonight and I'd still have to nurse DD and get dressed. Also, DS would be starting him bedtime routine in 30 minutes, which is when I'd have to leave. He better get home soon...
Are you in roller derby or just going to watch? I love roller skating so I was just curious, I'm too much of a wimp to do derby but before having ds1 I was at the roller rink multiple times a week if possible. I actually was looking into a mommy and me roller skating class even though my son could barely walk well yet. I want to take him when I'm able to do fun stuff like that again!
I play. I've been skating for the past 5 years (minus my two pregnancies) and love it. I played contact sports in high school, so it was a natural transition for me.
And DH got home in time. It was SO good to get back in my skates again!

Thanks, luckily I did not need a transfusion, I got an IV and have been on iron supplements. I think had my hemoglobin give down one more point I'd be at the transfusion danger zone but I stabilized. It took a while before they allowed me to shower and I had to be able towalk around the unit and warm up first and then leave the door open with dh nearby.

grommom, they told me not to drive for a week (I just had a vaginal delivery with a first degree tear), but I did after two days.
