How was your week? Meh. It wasn't rockstar but I tried
Setbacks? Only did the shred video once which felt like a fail, but once is more than zero. LO is conspiring to not allow at home workouts
Successes? A couple runs and both felt really good in spite of the unacceptably cold temp.
Goal for the coming week? Get in 2 runs and up my shred video usage to at least 2x this week (small steps
GTKY: if you could only read one book for the rest of your life what book would you choose? 11/22/63 by Stephen King it's got a bit of everything; time travel, romance, and suspense peppered with some american nostalgia. Love it
How was your week? Didn't meet my goal of using the bike trainer once. One time is all I needed to do. In my defense, neither my bike nor the trainer is set up so it's not just as easy as finding the time to work out. Lame excuse.
Setbacks? Need to make working out more of a priority. I've never been one to workout indoors so not being able to take baby outside is a huge setback. We are home this weekend so hopefully the weather cooperates and I can get out for the walk/run while DH watches the kids.
Successes? None. Not even squats or crunches.
Goal for the coming week? A walk/run outside and set up the trainer in the basement.
GTKY: if you could only read one book for the rest of your life what book would you choose? I read mostly murder mysteries but can't think of one that I'd want to read over and over.
ETA: I'm an idiot. I was dreading putting the training tire on my bike, but it was already on there! Duh, I was pregnant last summer and never rode outside so I never changed from the trainer to the regular tire. No more excuses. Time to put some air in the tires and get back in the saddle! Hoping to get in 30 minutes later this afternoon!
How was your week? It was good. I just started getting back to working out at 8 weeks PP.
Setbacks? Only setback is that LO does not like when I run on the treadmill. I have to wait until DH gets home to run.
Successes? I started C25K. It felt fucking awesome to have a half hour of completely "me" time while my husband watched LO. I was calling it mommy time in my head and then thought, "no, fuck that, this is JAYNEARSON time." I get to be just me, not mom when working out. I've only done Week 1 Day 1 of C25K so far (I'll do Day 2 today), but having that time to myself is a huge motivation. I also got DH to start C25K.
Goal for the coming week? Keep doing C25K, and try to go for a swim at the gym.
GTKY: if you could only read one book for the rest of your life what book would you choose? I'm going to cheat a little and say the Wheel of Time series. Because that's just one really long book, right? I'm rereading right now.
How was your week? I have started to use my fitness pal to track my calories. I use it as a guideline since I am breastfeeding. I got the clearance from my OB to start exercising again after my c-section on Wednesday. My arms got a work out carrying LO around this week while running errands. I have done one workout so far on Daily Burn and plan to do another one today.
Setbacks? My diet needs work, I crave sweets unfortunately. Need to get better at having them in moderation!
Successes? I got my HR monitor to work with Daily Burn, so it calculates the calories I burn more accurately. My DH has started using my fitness pal too and watching portion size. We both want to get healthier and lose some weight. I also was able to wear a pair of my pre-pregnancy jeans!
Goal for the coming week? Continue working out and improving my diet.
GTKY: if you could only read one book for the rest of your life what book would you choose? It is hard to pick just one. I will say anything by Janet Evanovich. Her books are hilarious!
How was your week? Not great. Sinus headache, site throat, and super tired don't mix well with exercise. I only got 2 fitness days in
Setbacks?being sick
Successes? I've upped my veggie intake this week!
Goal for the coming week? Get well and get back to a routine on workouts.
GTKY: if you could only read one book for the rest of your life what book would you choose?
Idk!!! If I could choose a series it would be the Hollows/Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison. I guess I would choose one of those books if I had to choose just one, but I don't know which one.

How was your week? Pretty good.
Setbacks? I've been ravenous, shoveling 6 tons of food in my mouth as my body adjusts to exercising and Bfing. Not a big deal at this point, once I get back to work I won't have an opportunity to snack every 20 minutes.
Successes? I shredded 5 days since last Friday. I still want to get day 6 in today. I can already feel my endurance improving. I had hoped to work out every day but 5 out of 7 isn't bad at all.
Goal for the coming week? Keep up the shred routine. Skip the after dinner snacks.
GTKY: if you could only read one book for the rest of your life what book would you choose? The little Prince.

How was your week? Not bad. I think LO was going through the 6 week growth spurt, but it wasn't as bad as the 3 week one, and she slept very well every night.
Setbacks? Chocolate covered almonds, Trader Joe's cookie butter cookies (for real.. don't buy these if you value your diet), the bakery down the street that makes the best cookies. I know exactly what I need to do to lose this baby weight, but somehow this stuff keeps going down my gullet.
Successes? Working out! I did 4 workouts and did 1 rowing session this week. Plus 3 long walks around the neighborhood (one of them ended up at aforesaid bakery though).
Goal for the coming week? Keep doing what I'm doing. Try to avoid the bakery. Try not to congratulate myself for not going to the bakery with cookie butter cookies.
GTKY: if you could only read one book for the rest of your life what book would you choose? I'm also going to cheat and choose all 3 books in The System of the World by Neal Stephenson. But if really had to pick just one, I'd say Cryptonomicon by the same author.
How was your week? Pretty good! I worked out every day except for the day of the snowstorm when we were stuck inside (again.) I did kickboxing, two days of lower body/cardio/core and one day of upper body/cardio/core. Then I ran outside two days.
Setbacks? THE SNOW!
Successes? I did my first two pp runs this week. One was 4.5 miles and the other was 3 miles. I feel great! The only problem was that we are in New England and running around the snow piles and ice was really hard. The sidewalks are icy and not all cleared, but the streets are wicked narrow right now b/c of all of the snow so there is not much room to run.
Goal for the coming week? To do the same workouts but add one more day of upper body. Also my sister will be back to teaching Zumba this week so I'll probably go to a class. Of course we are getting another foot of snow this week so we will see how that impacts my workouts.
GTKY: if you could only read one book for the rest of your life what book would you choose? The Great Gatsby
How was your week? I did pretty darn well if I do say so myself I started Focus T25 on Monday and have done all of the work outs without skipping a day. Today was supposed to be a double work out but um...No. Not ready for that so I'll kick out the second one on Saturday. Or as the program's calls it "STATerday" It is were I take all my measurements and photos to compare any progress. I really am happy I have stuck to it. The hardest part is getting started.
Setbacks? Food. It always comes down to proper nutrition. Sucks for me because I love all the bad food. (Especially soda) I started using MyFitnessPal app to help track my food. I figure if I feel guilty having to enter it, then I probably shouldn't be eating it. Friday was finally a good day where I ate decently the whole day. One step at a time.
Successes? Just the fact that I have been consistent is fucking amazing.
Goal for the coming week? Keep on keepin on. Eat healthier. Add incline walking to the equation 2-3x a week
GTKY: if you could only read one book for the rest of your life what book would you choose? I wish I read more. But it would be so wing insanely long. Like, the Odyssey or something.... On the other hand, I am a sucker for romance so maybe Pride and Prejudice.
