I am down to only two bags left to freeze my milk in. What brands do you guys recommend again? I currently use the lansinoh bags. Just wondering if there is a cheaper option or if I should just stick with those.
Target store brand!
Can I order those online? Or do I need to go to the store to get them?

Cam was doing this today. I think he was wanting to suck with no milk so he kept pulling off when the milk was coming.
So I should stop doing breast compressions? Lol
I almost said he also does it sometimes when he's trying to trigger a let-down. When he's doing that he's usually much more awake and kneads my breast with his hands lol. When he's falling asleep wanting to suck but not eat, he's very sleepy and has his eyes closed the whole time.

Let the gymnurstics begin. DS was kicking his feet off the couch, popping himself off the boob and twisting around tonight. I don't remember the nursing acrobatics starting this early with DD.
Does anyone else's kid latch and unlatch a million times while falling asleep?
Yes, when he's ready to fall asleep he starts doing the dance of latch/unlatch and he really then just wants the pacifier. I want him to comfort nurse, he wants none of it! He also does that a lot when he needs a burp.

I figured a paci would work but I really don't want to introduce one. I want him to comfort nurse to help my supply but the on and off is killing my nips.

Yeah sometimes my DS does something like this, and then I give him the pacifier and he's happy. He will only nurse when he wants to eat, he has never ever comfort nursed, even when I've tried REALLY hard (like after his shots). If he's not hungry, he just wants the pacifier.
I hadn't kept track of nursing in, like, a long time, but did yesterday to start getting a better idea of his schedule so we know for when I go back to work. I realized he nurses for like really short periods of time, often 4-5 minutes, only one side. I knew he had been nursing for less time, gradually, but didn't realize it was this little. He seems very satisfied and when we weighed him last week his weight was good (15lb, birth weight was 8lb 1oz). I'm not engorged. So I figure he's just gotten really efficient?? He did nurse for longer MOTN but only 10-13 min.

We do the same thing! I'm assuming they are just more efficient!

Does anyone use a 19mm shield and want a set for PISA? I ordered the wrong size a long time ago...it's brand new
I would love this if it'll work with the Symphony I just rented - I think it will. Apparently I have small nipples, who knew. I'm pumping 7x per day for the little one.
Physio on her jaw has been the only thing helping us breastfeed so far. Did the LC thing, the tongue tie thing. She came out a feisty and strong girl... no one told her that feeding isn't like heart surgery and she doesn't need to work so hard. I have my eye on the 6 month mark when I can slow down this holstein ritual. I've got to say though... the Symphony is awesome, I feel like I should give it a name.

It should work with your symphony! I also have found that "duckbill" valved work way better than the yellow plastic with white membranes.

I have the duckbill ones for my Ameda. Didn't know you could get them for Medela... I'll have to check it out.
I said I wasn't going to wake up just to pump so I could keep up with daycare bottles this time. I lied. I still have 400+ frozen ounces but I get anxiety from using them. Also, I need to do a better job pumping at work... I'm happy to be back at work but miss knowing my babe was getting what she needed from nursing.
PSA: For anyone about to go back to work, I found that these containers from Target are the perfect size for a set of Medela pump parts. I keep mine in the fridge between pumping sessions to save on cleaning:

Can you tell me about the 3 month growth spurt? DS2 isn't nursing more often but he wants to nurse for a long time. And he's on and off a million times. If I take him away from the breast he screams. I can't figure him out. Of course I'm paranoid that my supply has dropped.

mrssqueegy, I'm pretty sure my DS had a 3 month growth spurt - he woke up more often at night and wanted to nurse more often during the day as well. I didn't really feel like he was nursing for longer though. I'm sure your supply is fine though, they seem to do weird stuff during growth spurts I feel like!
