In the past two weeks, I've managed to sew and quilt a baby blanket for my brother and his wife, who are expecting a daughter at the end of this month. I still have to put the binding on, but I'm feeling incredibly accomplished to have gotten this much of it finished!!
The baby fell asleep in his rnp with a pacifier. It's the first time he's fallen asleep for me when I was home alone without needing a boob in his mouth.
We had ppl over and played board games last night. I consider having social time a success. Especially with the crap day I had yesterday with BF issues, anything that wasn't me moping on the couch about my boobs was a win.
baby is finally over 9lb. he was born at 8lb 11oz, lost 13%, and has been super slow to gain it back after lots of BF'ing problems (milk took forever to come in, he doesn't seem to transfer milk from the breast well). So he still weighs much less than I'd like but at least we are finally trending in the right direction at a faster pace.
also slept 5 hours in a row uninterrupted for the first time since before baby was born - not because he didn't wake up to be fed, but because H took the stretch of time between 3 different feedings so I could sleep. love him.
Managed to cut LO's fingernails without cutting any of his fingers. He also slept 6.5 hours during the night. We are going out to dinner tonight with friends. Should be fun!
I was able to get me and LO out the door for baby boot camp this morning which is an excercise class with strollers for moms. Since then I came home and have had him napping on my chest. Hoping I can have a success for the afternoon. We are implementing cloth diapering this weekend so maybe that's enough....
Did 3 loads of laundry and wrote out both of my older kids valentines cards and attached lolly pops to them. In between fed the baby every two hours and took care of him. I also managed to clean the kitchen and load the dishwasher!

Exercise class with strollers?! Wow that sounds interesting. How is it?
I celebrated LO's 2 month birthday with my first PP run! I ran for 20 minutes and it felt great! I only ran a handful of times while pregnant so it's been a loooong time. Gosh, I miss running and hoping to do a half marathon this year.
We took a family trip to the park and DS had a blast while the baby slept almost the whole time. We are having beautiful weather this weekend & it was so nice to get outside.
It's great! You engage the kids/babies some of the time and generally it's nice to be among other moms out of the house. It's a little glittery and rainbows sometimes but I try to get past that. If you google baby boot camp I think they are offered all over the country!
I'm so jealous of all you gals getting long stretches at night. Oh how I wish my kiddo would do that! Much like my first two, this guy still hasn't done more than 3 hours and 45 minutes. sigh.
Our lives changed once we introduced the swaddle and hair dryer on in the room. He did 8 hours for me the other night. Most of the time it's between 5-7.
I hit up The Loft for a few tops and some pants for work since I head back on Monday. I'm actually a bit smaller than I was pre-pregnancy but I still bought a size up so my c-section scar can breathe. I really need bras but didn't have the energy for that today. I HATE bra shopping.
I showered and got presentable solo this am! I was practicing for when I go back to work and realized I will have plenty of time with her in the morning before work. Made me very happy!

I spent $600 at The Loft before returning to work after my first. Yikes. That was only 18 months ago so I'm staying away this time. Too many cute clothes. I'll just have to wear my boring prepregnancy clothes when I start back in 3 weeks.
After nearly 6 weeks of EPing except for a handful of BF attempts, I've consistently offered the boob all day today, and LO is getting at least some milk (I can compare my average pumping output on non-BF days to today to ballpark it. I'm determined to get him on the boob before I go back to work. I realize this is probably the opposite of what most do before returning to work, but it's super important to me.

I *love* Loft! My biggest weakness is Loft's ballet flats.
I went grocery shopping with LO in the k'tan all by myself. She slept the whole time and it was a successful trip. I was also surprised that giant had mother's milk tea and I didn't have to make an extra trip to wegmans for it
I got out of the house today! Between work, a cranky baby, and the weather I haven't left the house in a few days. H was being an ass yesterday and I needed a break so I went to my mom's. She held LO, I took a nap, and cooled down from being annoyed w/DH,
I left LO alone for a few hours with grandma tonight and DH and I went to a birthday party. I has mega anxiety over it beforehand but it turned out great!

I just got really excited because LO slept 4 hours for the first time. We are definitely not in the long stretch club either.
We started crib naps this week and no more rocking/bouncing or butt patting to sleep. LO is a successful self soother. We are so excited! Attribute it to her being in the crib from the start but also the fact that she loves laying on her back. Started trying just leaving her in there after she started to get antsy and tired but still awake and so far so good!
Went to the mall yesterday for 5 freaking hours with DH and SS. Wore LO in the Moby the whole time. I feel the burn today so that counts as a workout, right? NIP with minimal coverage 3 times. Sneakily got an adorable video of SS when he he thought no one was watching and was dancing to "Happy" in front of a mirror. And, by coincidence, discovered there was a store of the brand of girdle I had just received from Amazon yesterday and was too loose, so I was able to return it (I was wearing it just to make sure it didn't work) and found one that really does the trick!
Bonus: got at least 20 smiles and comments on how cute carrying LO in the Moby wrap was. I guess it's not very common? But I enjoyed people's reactions.
