What say you of the flow of this name?
I love Thea because it's a diminutive of my grandmother's name and Magnolia is the flower of my home state. Thea can also refer to the flower of my H's home state Theaceae or the Tea plant/Camellia.
I think it is beautiful. I don't care for Magnolia as a name ever, but the flow is nice and Magnolia is the mn, so I can get behind this combo if you love it.
#1 - 10/10 | #2 - lost but not forgotten 10/12 | #3 - 7/13 | #4 - 5/15 Diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer 12/19/16 Finished with chemo 4/27/17! Double mastectomy summer 17 Radiation fall 17
I don't like Thea. And I don't think it really flows well with anything.
The endings of both names do tend toward sing-songy sound when said together.
I wouldn't combine Magnolia with another name ending in an -a sound.
Both names ending in a was what I was thinking might sound weird or a little sing-songy. Other mn options I'd use with Thea are Catherine, Evangeline, Juliet, and Olivia.

I think Catherine has the best flow.
Unless you are careful to enunciate well, the end sound of Thea and the beginning sound of Evangeline can become combined to sound like a single name. That puts me off the combination.
I've never liked Juliet, either as a name or the character and Olivia runs into the sing-songy -a ending issue I have with Magnolia.
Middle names I would consider with Thea: Lucille Jeannine Daphne Penelope Lorraine
