Anyone have a good recommendation for a bag I can use to bring DDs stuff to daycare everyday? Right now I have one of the Pottery Barn Kids canvas totes that someone had given us but I need something slightly bigger and with a long shoulder strap. It's so hard to carry DD, my purse, plus all of her crap when I do drop off & pickup every day.
I bought her a mini backpack from PB for daily dc use. I just put her bottles, formula, bib, burp cloth, & soother in it. On Mondays I just use a tote to bring in her stuff for the week like blanket, stuffy, snowsuit. But everything else (like changes of clothes and diapers, wipes) live there so there's no bringing back and forth. The mini back works great for us but sounds like it wouldn't do the trick for you if you're bringing additional stuff everyday.
What do you bring every day? Only thing I bring is her premade bottles, extra supplies when needed. Can you leave stuff there? Every Monday I bring fresh sheet, pacifier and bibs for the week. Change of clothes, bowl, spoon and her food stays there.
Every day I bring her lunch bag with bottles, sippy cup of water, spoons and containers of food for lunch & breakfast. I also keep her jacket, hat, mittens, etc in there on the off chance they go outside. On Monday I bring back sheets, blankets, etc & Friday I bring them home to wash. Some days I also have extra diapers or wipes if she runs out. I don't know why it feels like I always have so much crap! I'll have to check put the Thirty One bag or maybe even a full size backpack. Good idea!
I think it depends on how much you have to bring each day. We have a thirty one bag that is supposed to go around the back of the seat in the car to hold all her stuff! Someone gave it to us at our shower that has her name on it and it works well! We only have to bring bottles daily and then when they are out of wipes and diapers bring those! I also bring a bunch of spare clothes weekly and those fit nicely in the bag!
We also use the Thirty One utility bag. Daily it just holds 2 changes of clothes, bottles, sippy cup, coat, and hat. However it's big enough for a pack of diapers and thing of wipes when needed. It's also monogrammed so I didn't have to figure our a way to label it.
