fuzzylogic , you could try the sleep lady shuffle.
lol the what?
Trying to get E to nap in the crib. It's not going well. She's so happy to see me every time I do an interval check. I swear I'm in and out but damn, she freaks out when I'm gone! She was happily babbling away for a long time but then it escalated. I just don't know. Maybe this isn't right for her? We've tried this for several days and it's not getting better, really.
It's a different method of sleep training. If you don't think the method you're using is working you may want to look into different methods.
Just curious if any of you are thinking about trying sippy cups soon? A lot of cups say for 6mo+. I just don't see how a 6mo old is ready, but maybe that's just my kids (holy crap C will actually be 7 mo in a week!) I don't think I started sippy cups with DD until she was 10 mo.
I give the Mam sippy cup with a little water at meals. He's not very effective at using it, but he loves playing with it. He is also obsessed with trying to drink out of a normal cup and basically makes me share mine all the time.
DD is obsessed with sucking on/chewing my camelbak water bottle. I don't actually think she is getting any water because you have to bite and suck, but I thought it is cute that she wants to be like mommy....or i tell myself that!

Based on our success with this sippy topper for water bottles (and her subsequent soaking when she squeezed the water bottle), I'm going to move to a regular sippy within the next couple of months...

Ugh, I had this long response typed up and MOBILE.
ashleymarie26 all the hugs. I have been here with the over enthusiasm and (hopefully this is the case) not meaning to be insensitive and would have appreciated a "hey, wtf" in the moment. It's embarrassing but you correct, apologize and move on. You should absolutely correct her and tell her how uncomfortable it makes you.
Rta: not you. You as in the offending party.
Hun- there is a HUGE, and I mean HUGE difference in posting on a public forum generally about your breastfeeding experience vs. having a one on one conversation. I am rooting for every one of you ladies and I sincerely hope no one took offense to what I said. It wasn't directed at anyone here. I never ever feel like any BF related posts are spiteful, bragging or mean. I avoid the BF check-in, but that is because of my issues, not you guys
I just think it is different when it is a personal conversation between two people. That is what makes it hard. It's soooo in my face and I can't avoid it.

I've tried a time or two and while I had to hold the cup, she did get some out. It was that miracle 360 cup I think it's called.

Now that I have time to retype...
My tl;Dr that I lost to mobile was my own experience IRL. An acquaintance at church has a DD that is 2.5mo older than E. We are still nursing, my acquaintance had to stop at 2.5mo because stress from her DD (also named E) being in the hospital. They are very close in milestones and my E is just a smidge bigger/taller. I firmly believe that all babies grow differently and that its not just what they eat, and it fascinates me, and I was excitedly comparing weights and when we got home my H told me I had been acting insensitive because our acquaintance had mentioned once that she was upset BF hadnt worked out for her in long run and he could see she was a little put off. I definitely in that instance would have liked a hey, wtf so I could correct and apologize. You guise know me... That's not my stylllle.
So yea. But if she wasn't just being unaware and was just being a bitch invite her here so we can flame her out.

I also wanted to say I didn't want the shortened version to read dismissive, not that I'm rereading it. Like your 'friend' should see she's being insensitive, apologize and then move on from the topic and not bring it up against.
Text is hard to convey emotion.
I has all the respect for you lady but also for trying to continue conversation. In your shoes I can't say I'd be as patient.

Oh you weren't being dismissive
I just wanted to clarify to make sure that no one thought I was referring to anything said here. Because it's so, so different.

We've already tried a few and found one she likes. Though she really prefer to use a regular cup. She gets about 2iz of water a day.

I don't plan to introduce a sippy at all. They are gross mold farms and not great for teeth either. I think she will get the hang of a real cup and/or straw by the time it matters.

I posted a whole bunch of clothes on a BST site for the first time. I've already made over $200 assuming everyone comes through. And to think I usually just drop all this stuff off to donate! I still have 3 large bags full of stuff to donate, but the name brand stuff is fetching a pretty decent interest!

We have a sippy cup, and have used it, but my daughter would much rather drink out of my glass. I think she likes how the edge of the glass feels in her mouth.
A likes the Nuby, W likes the munchkin 360 cup, but both drink more water out of a regular glass- The sippy flow isn't fast enough for them!
I have both of these cups for ds also. He just chews on the nipple thing on the Nuby, but I think he has figured out the Munchkin cup so he gets more actual water from it. Although I think he prefers to just drink straight from the cup.
I hope everyone is well! ashleymarie26, I'm sorry your feelings were hurt by the insensitivity and/or jerkish ways of your work "friend." I hope the situation is remedied soon!

We use the cheap "Take'N'Toss" cups you can buy at walmart or the grocery store and they are amazing. DD1 has thrown one down the stairs and it hasn't burst open and they rarely leak. They don't have a bunch of parts so they are really easy to clean. My BFF has the 360 and I think I'd like to try that one this time because while the take'n'toss are wonderful I think we got lazy and used it too long because DD1 is a disaster with a big cup. I want to focus on use of a real cup more this time around, but I love the freedom of some sort of kid friendly cup because kids are careless and messy by nature and I enjoy not having to clean up spills every day.

Um, can you come teach me how to sell my shit! I have this very daunting task of going through both my DD and DS's clothes.

I laid it out in groups of 3-4 items that were the same size and price and took a pic. Then I could just write "$5/each, all medium" etc
Fo realz though ashleymarie26, did you sell in lots or by pieces? And are you mailing the clothes or meeting all these buyers?
It's local so I'm meeting everyone. Everything was by piece, but the photos I posted were in groups. It took about an hour to get everything photographed and posted
And then it sold like hotcakes. It's crazy. I had 46 notifications this morning. I'm closer to $350 now
