DS2 was still rubbing his ear and waking up screaming the past couple nights after finishing his antibiotic. So I brought him in to have it checked. The ear infection is gone, but he still has fluid in there. Between the recurrent ear infections, fluid and congestion issues, his doctor decided we should do a trial elimination of milk. He has an appointment in 3 weeks. So we'll see how this goes.

So annoyed. My BIL left the lights on in H's car the whole time we were in Florida. So now I have a dead battery in his car which is only two years old. One of DH's friends is going to come over tonight and push the car into the driveway (it's currently parked in the garage) and give it a jump.
Other than that, back to reality today. DS slept awesome last night and was pretty happy to go back to daycare today.
She is cray cray. I can't wait until the babies are here so I can actually work an 8 hour day. Is that sad?
Ummm, yeah, cray is right! 7:30 sounded bad enough, but 6:30 is appalling. I'm up by then, but I need until at least 7 before I can be considered fully coherent.
I should've gotten the popcorn instead of chex mix. AND I asked the Starbucks barista and she can make the fraps and flavored ice coffees DECAF! I did not know this.
Is anyone still nursing?! I'm still nursing before bed. Sometimes it hurts! I'm ready to wean, just don't know how to do it. It's such a part of his bedtime routine and it's hard to say no when he says "milk" so sweetly! I feel like DH will just have to put him to bed for awhile which gives me the sads bc I like putting him to bed and he always asks for mama. Ahhh mom guilt.
I weaned last Nov when he was 11 mo. I had to since I got a medicine that he couldn't have. But it was still hard saying no to him. I'd give him a bottle of milk and rock him to sleep. He didn't really let go of the boob. That's when he started shoving his hand down my cleavage. He still does that when he's tired and cranky. They find other ways to soothe. I tried to get him attached to various stuffed toys but nope. He snuggles me and holds the boob.
You got the right idea letting YH do bedtime for a bit. Any bedtime routine change is going to be hard but they adjust before you know it. I think it was harder for us getting him to stop waking up MOTN for more milk.
