aprilz81 So glad to hear the good news and that they know where to bleeding is coming from. Anecdotally I have a major instance of unexplained bleeding with my last pregnancy, I thought I lost the baby, but everything was fine and now I have a healthy baby girl!
jrun2013, yay for the new laptop. I love your profile pics, an overwater bungalow somewhere has always been a dream of fine. Is the pictured from real life?
The picture is from Google, but we actually honeymooned in Moorea and Bora Bora and while in Bora Bora we stayed in an over the water bungalow. It was insane!

OMG I'm so jealous! I really wanted to go there for our honeymoon. Our travel agent quoted us close to $20,000 for 2 weeks, so we decided to go to Belize for half the price. I hope someday we can get there. Do you dive and/or snorkel?

Yeah, it was really expensive (not $20,000, but still), but you know, trip of a lifetime and all that so we decided to go for it. We did snorkel and scuba. While snorkeling in Moorea I got bit by a fish. That was a bit of a shock!
Belize looks amazing as well! Super beautiful water from the pictures I've seen.

Definitely sounds like a trip of a lifetime. I hope we get there someday. We did 2 weeks in Belize, a week on a island off the coast and a week in the jungle exploring Mayan ruins. I loved Belize so much though no regrets on going there at all.
opheliainwaders, What do you do for work that you might have to go to Pakistan?
I work for a government contractor that does aid projects overseas--I'm a grant and proposal writer. I used to travel a lot, but I do much less now that I have DD.
That's really neat. I've always been interested in that kind of work.
Great news aprilz81! I was hoping it was just going to be a SCH or something. I think said it in another post, but they're much more common than you'd think.

jrun2013 my ex & I did Moorea, Huahine & Manihi for 10 days. Had an overwater on Manihi and it was amazing. I do wish we had done Bora Bora but my ex thought it would be too crowded and touristy.
peaseblossom55 it cost us about $12k in 2008 with the air travel from California for 10 days, but we did a custom package with two less popular islands.

silvermelody, I forget what islands our travel agent had us going to but our airfare was from the east coast and our stay was 14 so I guess all of that added up to be close to $20,000.

opheliainwaders,do you mind me asking how you got into grant writing? What did you major in? Have you always done this? Sorry if too personal but I am seriously super interested. I don't want to teach forever and writing/reasserting/editing are what I love most.
@heyybulldog56 Sure! I have a BS in Foreign Service, but I graduated college during the Bush administration, and didn't want to work for the State Dept. I found a job as a marketing assistant at this same company, but found out that I was pretty good at the proposal side of things. I started as what we call a proposal coordinator (the admin person who supports the team developing the technical application and budget), and worked my way up from there. I was the new business lead for our health team for a few years, but when I moved, and decided to work remotely, writing made more sense than management (and I like it better).
I always thought I would go back and get a Masters, but now with 12+ years of experience it doesn't really make sense for me to do that unless I want to change fields or really specialize.
That's awesome, thanks! My sister has a BS in Foreign Service too (fun fact).
