I'm fairly positive it is against DD2's beliefs to sleep past 5. Today we were up at 450 happy as could be. So at least she's in a good mood. I was also able to get my laundry and dishes going before DD1 gets up.
Anyone else have a LO who insists on feeding themselves. As soon as she sees the spoon she is frantically grabbing at it and sticking it in her mouth. She grabs the part with food half the time so it gets messy.

Yes! I think I just posted the same thing on the BLW post. Our meals are so messy. She grabs the spoon part (is that the right way to say that?) And either puts it in her mouth or feels/plays with the food

Today is the last day my mom will be here. She has been here for 3 weeks now. I'm surprised we haven't killed each other yet. Lol, I kinda wish she would leave on Sunday so we had all day Saturday too.
DH went to a job interview in Houston this week. He will be flying home today. I'm hoping everything went well.
I'm currently waiting for DD's Okay to Wake clock to signal it's ok to get up so I can go in and get her. She is waiting patiently for the sheep to wake, lol! It's a miracle that the clock works and she doesn't just scream.

Also, 2 sleep things . . .
1. C very annoyingly only wanted to suckle last night. After I fed him and there was no more milk flowing, he wouldnt unlatch and kept sucking. I tried to unlatch him and he started going crazy, still rooting and looking for nipple. I dont know what to do about that. Stubborn guy wont take a paci or suck on his fingers/thumb. 2. He is trying to climb out of the crib! After I put him back, he was grumpy and pouting, but not crying or anything so I left him in the crib to try and 'self sooth.' Within 5 minutes he was full on screaming and raised to his knees, trying to pull himself out (he can pull to standing). Soooo I guess its time to lower the crib mattress. I took him to bed w me bc I didnt trust him to not accidentally fling himself out of the crib.
rachaeleigh, younglove316, yeah she likes to feed herself. I just let her at dinner time since afterword we go straight up to the bath. I have to wash her high straps like every week. Last night she had oatmeal in her ear.

yummeecookee can you slip the paci in right next to your nipple? That's how I fake out my baby.
LOL @ faking him out. I have tried it before. He is just too damn clever. I think its the smell, ya know.
ditto - F knows immediately and will have nothing to do with a paci. He is sucking more and more on his thumb but it doesn't seem to have the soothing ability as nipple yet.

Emma got mashed potato in one side of her nose. It was kinda funny.

H is bringing them but if his stupid networking meeting isn't over soon (it started at 7 EST) I'm going to kill him. Boobs. BOOOOOBS.
Did you not learn from my mistake yday?! At least you have YH as a courier.
LOL.
I know! I even thought about double checking my bag before I left. I didn't pack a lunch either, but that was planned. But I had no help this morning because his stupid networking thing starts so GD early.

We were up at the Crack of dawn today. But she was so happy, so that makes it easier.
I have my first summer Friday closing at noon today! I plan to go home and sew by myself in peace for a couple hours. I'll probably get Ophi around 3. Maybe I'll even (mostly) finish her baptism dress in that time.

this is why i am glad that work has a totally different pump from the one i have at home and i have a complete set of pump parts stored at work that never leaves (we have a whole little kitchen in the pump room so I can wash each day and just leave it in my own cubby to dry)
Also -Finn was SOOOO happy and giggly this morning. And during sleep training he really was not. This make me feel better about calling it off. Also makes me feel a bit guilty for putting him through it but I'm sure I'm more affected long-term than he is. I don't mind the extra snuggle though

Same (except I just have a 2nd pump that was given to me). I even brought sterilization bags for once a week.

i should probably do this - you are sterilizing once a week? FFFC: I haven't sterilized since the first time back at the end of february!! oops.
winogirl, yeah I sterilize on Fridays. 90 seconds in the microwave. Everything I've read says with the way water is filtered now it's not really necessary, but I figure it can't hut.
