I've started thinking majorly about baby #3. I mean we wouldn't start trying until at least October, but I'm obsessed with thinking about it. Anyone here have 3 close in age? If we conceived soon after DD2s first birthday, that would put DD1 at about 3.5 and DD2 a couple months shy of 2 at the birth of (presumably DD3, lol). Is that insane? I guess I'm in the camp of, get the little phase over and done with. Also DH is approaching 40, so I sort of feel like its soon or not at all.

Today is the birthday of my first baby! 4 years ago today was day 3 of intense timetable contractions with no movement. My water barely tore at 3am, I made the nurse give me morphine and was begging for induction by 8am. An epidural and some pitocine later shit never happened so my epidural wore off and then she decided to grace us at 10lbs and 10 days late. She is still the one we're always waiting for, and will only come on her own time. Nothing like her little sister who is always raring to go-go-go. I can't say I have a toddler anymore
pearlvirus, my close girlfriend who also has an N15 baby has 3u3. (N12, Mar14, N15) She loves that they are so close in age, but her mom lives with them too because life is pretty hectic!
My older is Mar14! We're living the same life, except I'm one baby behind, lol!

My H and I have talked about starting for #3 in the Nov/Dec If that happened, then we'd be an O13, N15, fall17. I think it could potentially be crazy but then all the sleepless nights and diapers would be done at once But I do have crazy puppy fever so that could be my 16 baby

Pearl I think a lot about wanting another. DH used to want 2u2, but the last few months he said now he doesn't. I'm kind of anxious to try again, but I don't know if that has just become instinct because it took nearly 2 years of trying for DD. I feel like my brain has been rewired! Lol I was just thinking yesterday (FFFC?) that I still pay attention to my CM even though I'm not TTC and haven't had a PP period. I think I'm just crazy! Sorry for the tangent. While I'm not sure it's ideal for us to have 2u2, if we were so lucky, I would love it!
I still wonder sometimes who will have the first next pregnancy announcement in the group....

Today is my last Saturday to work at the bank and it's at "my home" branch (where I was before maternity leave.) Later today once I'm off DH wants to go to the movies.
2u2 has been quite a ride. I think the way you feel about it depends a lot on how high needs your first is. Mine are 19 months apart and I think if I had it to do again I would've waited a little longer.

I wonder this too! We're not ready to start trying for our next baby yet. Since I will be high risk for all pregnancies, we want a little bit of space between children. If it wasn't for that, we'd probably be trying already

DD1 was not high needs at all and I'm so happy with the 3yr age gap. I wanted a close age gap, then as things took longer everybody said 2 years was the perfect gap then it became 3 and honestly knowing DD1 could play independently, get her own drink or snack out of the fridge, go get me a diaper if there were none in the change table drawer. Soooo helpful. Plus after watching my cousins kid who is just over a year, I'm exhausted over just those couple of hours with 3. It always seems like at least one of the babies is having an off day. I just could not imagine. Not for me. I do want 3. DH doesn't but has agreed to revisit the idea when DD2 is 2. So I like that the door isn't shut yet.
God, I'm tired. This sleep regression or teething or whatever the hell it is can suck it.
This too shall pass. I had a really hard time about a month ago, but now my daughter is coming out of it and doing very well. Ups and downs, I guess. Hugs.

We didn't get to go out last night. DH's dad is getting a little forgetful and SMIL is just getting over a bad cold, so they couldn't watch B. I'm a little annoyed with them. This is the second time they've cancelled on us and they are supposed to be doing an overnight baby sit this summer when we're all back east. I was hoping that they'd have one time of watching him for a few hours under their belts before we left B with him overnight, but that won't happen since DH won't ask them again (at least for a while) to watch B for us.

My day started pretty well. Baby went down for her nap at 9:15 no problem, but then the Jehovah's Witnesses stopped by on their Saturday rounds and the barking dog woke her up. Then the dog ran out the front door and I had to go catch him and bring him back from my neighbor's yard. My daughter is asleep again for her second nap, but there was a long, grumpy period between now and then. She gets this very perturbed look if she wakes up too soon. Her briefly furrows, her fat little chipmunk cheeks get sort of droopy and she just sort of sulks and tossed her toys around instead of playing with them. It's like, I know what you mean little baby. This being awake thing sucks.

You guise, DD2 was just nursing and the way she happened to look up at me made her face look older than she is and I felt so sad. It was just a flash by her facial expression but I choked up.

So today has been spent cleaning the house, it's not quite spotless yet, but is looking so much better! DH probably did 75% of the work, and I am so thankful for him.
