At least that's what I'm hoping for. After a super rough parenting day yesterday I was kind of scared for my first summer day with DD not on vacation. But she woke up cute and in a super good mood so I'm hoping for a great day!
We're headed to the OB this morning then the zoo. What are you all up to?
Work. The corporate system is already nagging me about credit card expenses from the trip I've only been back from for a week. Somehow I have to figure out how to get the physical copies of my receipts there without one of the fancy envelopes we're supposed to use.
Oh well. I'll submit digital copies and then I've got at least another 30 days before they complain about that part.
Working. Tired this morning. DS decided to wake up an hour before my alarm went off. On the plus side that meant more time cuddling and watching cartoons.
We made some serious progress on the nursery over the weekend. I'm about to go all AW and post a million pics soon The tree decals turned out awesome and H reassembled the crib. It's so strange to see it sitting in there.
I'm waiting for the wood destroying insect inspector because I saw signs of termites on our deck, yay... I also have a tile guy coming today to do some measurements for replacing cracked title in our bathroom. Otherwise it's a day filled with cleaning, decluttering, and packing for me per usual.
We are getting ready for vacation in Montreal. We leave Wednesday so at least I get a short break from the moving/selling stuff.
Oh Montreal should be fun. It's the F1 Grand Prix this weekend. My H will be there too! Let me know if you have any questions about the city. I don't live there, but I know it pretty well since we live close and have family that live there.
Oh and I passed my 3 hour gestational diabetes test! I had a high value at the 2 hour mark, but the rest were perfect so they are calling it a pass and asking me to limit my sugar intake.
I keep hearing that if you want an idea of what your labor timeline could be like, to ask your mom (and sisters if you have any, but I don't) so I asked my mom how it went with my brothers and I yesterday. Apparently I took 15 hours from her water breaking to me arriving, but I born at about 36 weeks. My 1st brother took 3 hours from water breaking to him arriving, and she almost didn't make it to the hospital. Brothers 3 & 4 were in-hospital inductions because if she went into labor on her own she wouldn't have made it to the hospital and apparently both of them arrived within an hour of them breaking her water.
So apparently my mom goes pretty quickly, and apparently her sisters did too. Guess I need to make sure I tell my dr that! I don't want to be having this kid in the car if I follow suit.
Running a ton of errands today to get things prepared for our new house...rug store, paint store, and returns to Nordstrom Rack. Feeling motivated...let's do this!

Im going to try and get the livingroom cleaned up a bit more. DH decided to make cheese yes so our kitchen is a mess because it ended late, so I'm avoiding that area at the moment. Guys the further along this pregnancy goes the worse my eating habbits get. All I want right now is tons and tons of chocolate, I picked up some little debbies at the store yesterday and it's taking all off my self control to not eat the entire box.

GL fem Congrats theophania Can't wait to see pics singingsea LadyNymeria not one woman on my mom's side has had a natural birth in like generations! Sometimes the family history can be scary!
I'm working today, but no meetings scheduled and I'm caught up already by 11am. I'm going to return a couple duplicates of stuff I got for the shower at Target on my break. We had our one-day birthing class at the hospital yesterday and our nurse/instructor was awesome!

I got almost no sleep between an upset tummy, being unable to take a deep enough breath, and tossing & turning & being sweaty. Yuck. I walked into my office & it is 91,000 damn degrees from the a/c in the building being off all weekend. My dermatologist appt went well this morning though, she didn't find any weird moles that needed removed for the first time in like 3 years, so I'm pumped about that.
I think this all adds up to a Starbucks break this afternoon:)
First day home after our 10 day trip to Alberta for my grandfather's funeral. DS hasn't been sleeping great, ergo neither have I. He's down for a nap already (which is unusual at 11am but I'm not complaining). I work 3-11 so I'm debating also having a nap or showering/getting my lunch ready in peace.
2.0 is friggin active today. Her kicks hurt A LOT.
Yay for passing theophania! Great news on no weird moles merryrissmas I'm going to the Chiropractor then taking DS somewhere outside to play. I'm so excited that I booked my maternity session and newborn session. I had to sit DH down to tell him the amount but It brings me to tears that we didn't get newborn pics with DS. He took it ok after I told him how much money we would save since we aren't doing 3D or hospital newborn pics.
Ugh. I've spent half my morning trying to fix an issue with my computer. It's driving me nuts. I get it halfway working, then as soon as it reboots it reinstalls the driver that's causing the issue and the problem comes back. Nothing I've done seems to work.
I should let it go, but it'll drive me nuts until I fix it.
I need to finish straightening up the house. Our realtor is coming by later this afternoon to look it over so she can put together an estimate in what she thinks we can get for it. She was our realtor for buying it, so she knows the house fairly well, but we've done some big upgrades recently. She tentatively said $245k last time we talked, which would be awesome. But we'll see. We won't list until next summer anyway.

Oh! I discovered this morning that DH ate my Indian food leftovers from Saturday night (which were supposed to be my lunch today) and put the empty container back in the fridge. WHY?!?!? I'm currently trying to decide on an appropriate punishment
LadyNymeria I totally wish you a quick labor and delivery (but not too quick lol) but my mom had me in 3 hrs and I was in labor with DS for 24hrs. I only pushed for an hour though, so that was cool. It was at least 6hrs from when they popped my water.
merryrissmas sorry for the shitty sleep. The Starbucks is definitely earned! And oh hell no to eating leftovers and then putting empty container back in the fridge!
I'm so excited for everyone making progress on their nursery!

Ohhhh, I'd be so mad (says the person who just had Indian leftovers for lunch). Let us know the punishment.
Watching the news right now, and then I'll be folding and putting away laundry and picking up the living room (yay). I also need to start looking at museums for their free days so I can take the kids cool places this summer.

We (my mom, sister, and I) always have to have our water broken, it doesn't break on its own (except for with DD and it broke minutes before my Dr came in to break it). I'm hoping for a labor less than 24 hrs lol. DS was 36, DD was almost 70 hrs and I didn't get any of those perks of 2nd child labor because there were so many years in between.

That's interesting LadyNymeria! Fortunately for me I'm not like my mom in that respect. With both my brother and me she was a week late and she was in active labor for about 24 hours. But my DD was born at 37w4d and I was only in active labor for 3 hours. My DS was born at 38w3d and I was in active labor for 1.5 hours. I'm nervous about how fast this one might be!
merryrissmas rage! your h definitely owes you another round of Indian food to make up for that!
LadyNymeria very interesting! my mom and i had very similar situations - she had to be induced with all 3 of us. i was induced at just 1 week over due with my LO and my doc definitely did not think i would have gone on my own.

I don't know about my sisters as I have never asked them vut I know with my mom 2 of us where over due, one was 2 weeks early I think and one was pretty much right one the due date. I know I was an induced labor so I was one of the late ones. I hoping my labor goes quick like it did with Connor but we'll see I'm aware that giving birt to a full term child is going to differ from preterm labor. But with Conner I pushed for all of like 20 minutes I think and before that I hadn't felt any painful contractions until about 4 hours before or so if that. I was hopped up on pain medsnso the timeline is not exact.
It's a working day for me but I just got my overalls in and since I know y'all would be honest, I'm AW'ing them. I couldn't resist trying them on. Please excuse the nappy hair and makeup free face, I'm working from home... **poof**
And bonus dress that came in too...I'm in love with it! **poof**
