Intro & Box gardening question

Hello!

Woohoo a gardening forum! I'm kinda a newbie at gardening, but I want to get more into it. I'm due on May 15th. I have been dying to start gardening ever since we got a new place. I have done a few small things (potted some planters and what not).

I am very interested in box gardening! 

Anyone have a Box Garden in their backyard? Did you build your own, or did you buy it from somewhere?
If you have one I would love to see pictures!
Any special tips?

This is what my main containers look like. This was last year's snowpocolypse.

I made these out of scraps we had from the home remodel. I put seats in between. The cages are to keep the digging dog out.

This is the L shaped fancy 2 tiered my dh made for strawberries.


These are all made with cheap untreated wood. I painted the outside to make the last our rainy weather.

I've got a snowpocalypse right now, too. But here are the veggie beds in early spring.


We just put netting around the outside.

Great pictures, is anyone here using the square foot garden method. We have been using "mel's mix" for several years and I love it. If only I could get the hang of seed starting and maintenance. I suck at it and DH usually ends up taking over by mid July. This year I want to get some soaker hoses on timers.

We have not been following any system other than try it and see.
