Instead I'm dealing with my first wake up of the night and a bassinet filled with spit up. At least there's good sidewalk entertainment at this hour with all the youths stumbling home. What's on everyone's agenda? I'm hoping to sleep until 7am then it's more packing and hauling items into the new condo.
I'm up nursing...again. But the plan is to leave LO with DH for a few hours to do a little bit of "me time" shopping. I haven't done that since my 3rd trimester when I had literally stretched my wardrobe to it's limit. And I think a donut run might be in order.
Mmm donuts. Often mentioned, but sadly not realized in my pastry-less household. I did have pancakes the other day; thanks pixie523. But today I'll probably just have my staple oatmeal for breakfast. (Sigh). For novelty, I've got yoga on my radar. I even put a reminder in my phone so I don't forget. If/when I make it, it will be my first official session in a long time. Then I'm going to visit a friend for showing off my baby. I'm very excited for today, but now I feel like donuts would really make it complete...
Today we are celebrating my little brothers birthday. I'm getting the cake from my fave bakery. I always get cakes because this bakery has amazing donuts. So yup, donuts are happening.
Also- effing snow. Please don't get bad till after I get my donuts (and bread and milk of course)

I overslept my alarm this morning by more than a half an hour. My solution was to not feed or change M before leaving for church, but just move him from bed to car seat and go. We have a half an hour or more to nurse at church before things start, H has to be early for worship practice. My plan worked like a charm!
Now I'm at church where there are donuts. The diet starts Monday, right?
Must. Have. Donuts.....I think I may have to go get some. Good call ladies. We have hardly gotten any snow this season, usually means we get dumped in in march when you just want it to be spring (I live in Colorado)
Is it wrong that one of the factors in selecting LO's pediatrician was his proximity to one of the best donut shops in town? Great doctor and great donuts in the same trip. Win win, right?
This post reminds me ... We just got a new donut shop in town. They make all kind of crazy donuts w/ cereal, bacon & other weird things on them. But my favorite is a chocolate French crueler and I swear nobody around here makes them.
Today Dh & I are skipping church since we've all been sick this week. I'm making a blueberry coffee cake & bacon for breakfast. Then I have a client meeting this afternoon. Pretty exciting day
Today is officially fatty day. Just made pb and j French toast. Going to get donuts and cake. And I think I'm going to break open a piece of my firecracker chocolate bar.
If you have access to this chocolate bar, get it. Dark chocolate. Sea salt, cayenne pepper, and Pop rocks.

Guys. I'm just looking for nursing entertainment and now I am freaking starving for donuts. Sigh.
A fancy donut shop recently opened near me. They had a Bill Cosby donut when it's doors first opened but that was quickly renamed and his framed picture removed from the wall. They make crazy donuts with all sorts of fillings and flavors.
I'm going to have to get dressed earlier than planned.
Aaaaand I'm now eating an apple fritter the size of my face. I simply told DH that I would love it if he went to get me donuts. And he did! Good man, that one. Oatmeal will wait today!
I ate MANY donuts the morning my water broke but haven't had a donut since. I'm not really that interested. Sugary treats was a pregnancy craving that didn't stick around.
Max slept from 5:00am-9:00 granted it was in bed with me sleeping on my arm (swore I would never ever do that before he was born) but it was so nice to actually sleep 4 hours! He was up for an hour to eat and play and is now sleeping on me again. I made french toast and sausage during that hour!
No plans for the day, I'm still sick and getting sicker...may have to break down and go to urgent care today but I really don't want to.
I forgot to mention, I figured out why Liam has been so out of sorts... His bottom teeth are coming in. TEETH. Ahhhhhh, poor guy is miserable. Going to whole foods to figure out something I can give him to help. A friend suggested chamomilla. This to too early. He is 12 weeks wednesday.
LO just fell asleep in her swing. She's been up for less than an hour. I have a feeling there were some MOTN shenanigans. Had some pumped milk that was going to go bad so we gave that to her at bedtime. She hardly drank any before passing out so when H tried to bring her to me for her first MOTN feeding, I (half-awake) told him he could give her what was left in the bottle and then I went back to sleep. When I went to get her for her next feeding, there was a pillow and blanket on the floor next to her crib. I think she gave H a hard time. Oops. I assumed she would eat and go right back to sleep.
I feel bad but it's the most consecutive sleep I've had since she was born. So I don't feel that bad. But I think I owe him now. Maybe he would accept payment in donuts...
According to my DH we are going to raise a brat because I won't let our 3 month old CIO at nap time. I know he is frustrated because our little man is always cranky but WTAF? So now I am laying in bed snuggling my LO while he sleeps and DH is out in the living room sulking.
jjh1119 I hear it can take months for teeth to finish coming in, so I wouldn't be surprised if we all deal with it soon. According to my baby book, I had two by five months.
Thanks everyone I'm just hoping I don't pass the chest congestion to lo, hoping breastmilk does it's job!
Lo is sleeping for the second time already since he woke up at 9:00...our days seem to be developing the pattern of wake, eat, play for 45min to an hour than nap for an hour and repeat...until we get to 8:00-9:00pm when lo is sleepy but fights actually going to sleep like a champ. It took me two hours to get him to sleep and stay asleep last night. Oh well I guess he will figure it out eventually!
PS I also now really want a donut from the bavarian bakery in my town
Made fatal error of weighing myself. That was dumb. But it does look like I'm going to need to buy a pair of new pants before I go back to work. This extra 20lbs is not budging. I'm also not really trying that hard if I'm honest with myself. Grumble grumble pass the lean proteins grumble.
I'm very proud of DH for feeding the cats, changing the baby, and bringing her to me. A for effort. D+ for not realizing I'd fed her less than an hour earlier and for replacing a dry cloth diaper with a disposable.
Aaaaand I'm now eating an apple fritter the size of my face. I simply told DH that I would love it if he went to get me donuts. And he did! Good man, that one. Oatmeal will wait today!
lol I said the same thing to Dh the other day, but in regards to ice cream, and he went right out and got it.
