I got my donut! And now I'm eating a giant salad for lunch. Call me crazy, but I prefer the salad.
You know how kids stick their fingers in their ears and go "lalalala I can't hear you"? Well, that's what I'm doing every time someone talks about teething already.
After church we went and met up with the mom I'm donating milk to. I heard her story and handed over my bags of liquid gold. Talk about getting punched in the feels. I have a renewed purpose in pumping. I'm building a bit of a stash for ourselves for just in case, then after that I'm donating straight to her.

I did not have a donut! I woke up MH to take the kids downstairs at 7 and went back to sleep until 9:50. Soooo amazing. Theo has an awesome stretch of sleep from 8-2 and then wakes every 1.5-2hrs after that.

Hi Ladies-
I posted in Roll Call but *waves hi* if this is the first time you're seeing me post here. Working from home is hard yo! Basically trying to take advantage of DH being home so I can get some work done today. 10 throat punches to people who say sleep/work when baby sleeps...riiiiiight. What happens when your baby doesn't sleep ever? And when he does, what progress am I expected to make in the 10 minute stretches naps for?
On the bright side though, he's just started to giggle/laugh. Best. Thing. Ever.
pixie523 it's really hard not to imagine all your posts being read in a Liz Lemon voice.
Perfect! That's just what I was going for... I was just singing the 30 rock theme song to LO because I'm out of things to say to her already. Mom is tired! Maybe baby should nap?!!!!
queenbee007 welcome! I'm going to be wfh two days a week come march and am starting to get anxious about it. Even with having a sitter come in it's going to be hard to focus!
We are going to get another snow storm tomorrow with a potential for another foot to 2 feet. Already have 2 feet of snow from the previous storm.. Oh and tomorrow is my first official day back to work cue the anxiety
I'm making model bones with my students this week so DH is busy cutting PVC pipe into 4" pieces for me. I'm watching Netflix and holding the baby, seems fair to me.
According to my DH we are going to raise a brat because I won't let our 3 month old CIO at nap time. I know he is frustrated because our little man is always cranky but WTAF? So now I am laying in bed snuggling my LO while he sleeps and DH is out in the living room sulking.
Sorry your DH is being a douche. Crabby babies are hard on relationships! If your snuggles get LO calm enough to nap, then snuggle away!!! I am still in survival mode here! Whatever works is whatever happens!!!!

I am sitting in the car catching up online and eating my donut finally. H is hanging with Liam. I should probably head home, but this is so fantastic. Whole foods was so damn packed because of this stupid storm.
Well we ended up only having to play one game. The first team we were supposed to play didn't show.
Sad story, we have a single mom on our team and her little (3?) boy was having a meltdown and she had to leave halfway through the first half. We all felt terrible for her and she was crying because she was so embarrassed (he kept running on the court). This crazy bitch on the other team tried to make us forfeit because we only had 4 players! She was just mad because we were beating them! She was going off like crazy, it was really insensitive of her, and she upset the single mom as she was leaving. We ended up having another player show up at halftime and beat them by 10 points. I've never been so happy to win a game! I know the crazy lady and she has kids, you'd think she'd be more caring. Moms should spend less time judging and more time supporting!

Sorry to post and run but screw this snow! I wish I could afford brand new winter tires. We barely made it up the hill by our place. Dreading the commute tomorrow.
Max fights sleep loudly and for a long time every single night. I feel like a terrible Mom because I can't get him to sleep. We have a routine of bath, story nurse swaddle and rock to sleep. He will usually only stay asleep for 30 min or less and the.n he is screaming and thrashing around for another hour or more (most of the time more). We use white noise and swaddling but it only helps after the second fight to sleep, it's like he just tires himself out finally. I have tried putting him down drowsy but that is a complete wash he needs to be held and put down asleep, even for naps he does not fall asleep on his own. My H tries to help but lo fights him even harder. I am at a loss and just feel like a failure night after night.
spikesmom I have no answers but we're with you in solidarity. You are not a terrible mom in any way because you are doing everything right even if baby disagrees.
spikesmom I'm so sorry for your struggles. Know for certain that you are absolutely not a failure!! Some babies fight sleep and some don't, and that is the luck of the draw. You do your best so that your son feels loved, and that's all you can do. He'll be grown before you realize. Hugs!
spikesmom solidarity! My girl fights sleep so hard. She'll fight naps for 45 minutes to sleep for all of 25. The only reason she'll fall asleep at night with little complaint is because she's so exhausted. But! That said! She still thrashes and rubs her face into her bed for 30 before just sleeping.
My mom was sick so we didn't end up going to celebrate tonight, was rescheduled. Went grocery shopping and got ready for yet some more snow! I made turkey meatloaf and maple bacon Brussels sprouts. Pretty sure I can never be a vegetarian again with that deliciousness
jjh1119 That sounds scrumptious! Will you go ahead and eat the cake....? How long were you a vegetarian?
She cancelled before I went and got cake. BUT I got a slice of tres leches from whole foods. I shall enjoy that tomorrow, though. The donut was from whole foods too, but still good.
I was a vegetarian for about 2 years, vegan for 1, raw vegan for a few months, back to vegetarian and then got pregnant and I was all give me meat!
Aw man. I would have preferred a whole foods donut. I actually ended up slightly regretting my choice this morning. I might not have a donut for awhile. Damn cravings!
Raw vegan is hard core! I was an ovo-lacto vegetarian for nearly ten years and gave it up when I couldn't overcome the iron deficiency. DH introduced me to steak!

Yup. ( What was your TB name again?) That was my first day back last week -- thank god I got the message they weren't opening due to storm! And same tomorrow. Yay.
My over tired baby has a gas bubble and won't settle down. I'm exhausted, I sent my H to bed, and I still need to pump. It's been a looooooooong weekend and we have so much work left to do before our move.
