I actually like my ring. I always wanted a simple round solitaire diamond and thats what my husband got for me. Ive thought about changing the band to match my wedding band (diamonds all around) but i doubt i will actually do it.
Confession: I haven't worn my rings since March 2013 (due to pregnancy swelling) so I'd like to wear mine again. It's a princess solitare with white gold. It's pretty.

Sounds beautiful! Get it sized and wear that thing!!!! (Easy for me to say.... Mine was always a little big until I had D. I never got it sized and now it actually fits)

aw phishy - we are meant to be besties. my ring is also a princess solitare but with yellow gold. I love it. my band has 12 small diamonds on it and it goes really well together.
I have a princess cut solitaire on a thin white gold band. My wedding ring is an eternity band but since I got pregnant with ds1 it hasn't fit. My husband bought me another ring to wear instead and it has bigger diamonds in it but it only goes halfway around. I am happy with my engagement ring.

I would want the ring that I picked out and showed you all and then I would want a band with diamonds like this: and then I would want another band like that for the other side as an anniversary gift later on down the road.
My rings are both passed down from family (engagement ring from dh's grandma and wedding band from mine. I love them both, although sometimes I wish the diamond was a tiny bit bigger. It's in an illusion setting and is actually a really small diamond.
Also, in moments of total spoiled selfishness, I get bummed that DH has never actually chosen and purchased a nice piece of jewelry for me. But then I feel like an ass, especially since money is always tight for us.

These are my rings and I LOVE them, excuse my super dry flaky hands. We looked at larger diamonds but they just looked too big on my hand. I wanted something that is practical and that I could wear everyday.

Mine is a round solitaire in yellow gold and I love it - exactly what I wanted. I have a diamond wrap with it as well and hope to get a new setting for all diamonds in one band, plus a diamond wedding band. Now I need to get DH on board.
The one I have now is a princess cut with 3 stones and then diamonds in both bands. The bands go on either side of my engagement ring. Since dh actually picked out the engagement ring, I don't know that I could actually get used to something else. I don't know that it would be the same
I really like my ring- if I knew how to post a pic I would.
The center stone was actually given to my H by my grandma- the ring was her moms be we got it reset. She seriously gave it to him 6 months or so before he proposed and he kept it in a desk drawer in the office of our home- we were living together. So every time I needed tape, I had an heirloom engagement ring looking back at me-- it was torture.

Here is my set I have: engagement ring is 3 stones then smaller ones on either side. my wedding band is small stones to match the small stones on my engagement ring.
I love my ring. It's a platinum band with three princess cut diamonds. The middle one is slightly larger but it isn't overly obvious. I would like new wedding band one day. My current one is a plain white gold band. I'd like one that is small princess cut diamonds to match the engagement ring. I might would just add that band and keep the original band on as well because it is the one he gave me on our wedding day.

I got DH's grandma's ring. Same setting and everything. It's pretty small, but that suits me well. I get more compliments on it than I ever thought I would. Mainly because it's antique-y.
DH got me "MY" diamond for our 1 year anniversary. It's a 1-carat solitaire pendant that I wear around my neck every day

Mine is super simple - round cut (a bit over 1 carat I think) framed by two little blue stones. I hardly ever wear it. I sometimes fantasize about fancy schmancy rings (and have been sent down a spiral looking all over the interwebs for them now), but it's just not very "me".
ETA: A friend of mine just got married with an engagement ring that looked a bit like this one that made me dool:
michelin82 Mine is really similar to that! The center is the same, but the setting on the sides of mine has a little more detail and not as many diamonds.

I really like some of the rings with the colored diamonds but I don't think I would love it forever so I can't justify picking one out lol
I took my engagement ring off months ago because the stone needed to be tightened back in. Yeah, haven't put it back on since. Anything more would probably be a waste.
This is my engagement/wedding ring. The wedding ring slides inside the band of the engagement ring. It's called a reverse cradle. I love it, it was made just for me but it doesn't fit since I had DD. I still wear my wedding band but I don't have a picture of it. It's white gold with a scroll and ivy pattern and has four teal chip diamonds spaced along the band. Only thing I'd change is to make the wedding band wider.
