Hi,
A little about myself. I'm 28 and have been married for 5 years. I live in Florida with my husband and my two Pugs. I am a nerd in every sense of the word. I'm looking forward to being a mom!
I'm new here. I'm a new mom-to-be. The hubby and I have been TTC for about 2 years. I've had irregular periods since I was real young and therefore I never really knew when I ovulated. I saw the gyno about a month and a half ago and she let me know that I most likely have PCOS. She informed me that I would most likely have to get on some meds in order to get pregnant. I decided to change my lifestyle a bit, so I lost about 11 pounds. That must have been enough to kick start my hormones because I finally got my period (after 4 months of not getting it!). I decided to start using OPK's after I got my AF in order to better help me figure out when I was ovulating. I was just diagnosed with PCOS, and this is the reason it's taken so long for us. However, I just got my BFP last Tuesday! I'm about 4+3, that's based off of my calculations. However, it's been an emotionally draining two weeks for me. I'm worried that something will happen, as women who have PCOS are at higher risk for miscarriage. I'm trying very hard to stay positive, but sometimes my negative thoughts get the best of me. If all goes well, I will be having my very first child in February 2017! I will be going to gyno at the end of the month to get my first ultrasound and I'm hoping for the best!
I'm happy I found this forum. This will be a great way to keep my mind off of things, while also getting to know some your stories!
