WHAT THE HELL!! I just went to the bathroom, and there was some blood on the tp. I'm not ready to start my period again! I know it isn't a guarantee, but I thought a perk to BF was no period for a while. Wahhhh not fair!
I hear ya. I went straight from postpartum bleeding to period.
Random old lady: oh wow, you have a little one there! Me: yep, he was six weeks on Tuesday ROL: are you nursing?
Excuse me? This isn't the first time a stranger has asked me this. Why are my boobs appropriate conversation topics for randoms? How about, 'he is adorable!' or 'what's his name?' Or 'congratulations!'

Omg SAME! I think I am starting mine and I am so pissed!! I have been wondering when it would happen because I have been breastfeeding less and less but I was hoping I would have a bit longer. I am surprised you are getting yours with EBFing!!

People are so weird! I remember when I was still pregnant I had a substitute at work ask me if I was having a vaginal delivery. I had just met her that day for the first time ever. I don't understand people when it comes to babies.

I'm just glad DH and I didn't do the deed the other week thinking we were safe... Eek!

This happens to a lot. I don't understand why anyone thinks it's their business.
I nursing D's in the carrier all day. A lady came up to me and wanted to look. Well she looked down I told her he was eating. She stepped back and apologized. I really don't care if you see the top of my boob why are you in my space. I had the hood up and everything.

Omg. Yes. I couldn't even count the number of people that have asked me if I'm breastfeeding. I try to make them feel as awkward as possible by responding with "I tried but my boobs hate me. "
We just started dealing with the witching hour about a week ago... He's so crabby and tired around 8-10 but just fights it so hard m. Once he falls asleep though he's out for a while
Woohoo! Go Cavs! LO did a great job last night watching the game till about midnight at my sister's house (even though the collective screaming of about 10 men once they won made her cry). It was totally worth it! We've never had a championship and the city went crazy!
rubykitten, I didn't know you were a fellow Clevelander! I live in the Chicago burbs now but grew up in Cleveland. I'm actually in town now visiting my parents and watched the game. My dad and brother cried along with LeBron. What an incredible victory!
@unicornofthesea I have a Lansinoh pump from Target that I got as a gift with DD. Granted, I don't use it much and never have since I SAH but I've been very pleased with it. I liked the small size of the actual pump part (easier to sit on a small ledge or table next to my rocker or bed vs. the huge briefcase of the PISA I had borrowed with DS1), and I loved that it had a timer/clock thing. The reviews I saw that were bad had to do with suction and I never had issue with it (again, very occasional use though). Hope it works out great for you!
A large part of my sanity comes from the fact that all three nap at the same time in the afternoon. (Or at least the older two, it doesn't matter if LO is asleep or not if I can rock/cuddle in peace and quiet). Today has been a major nap fail. DS1 got up to poop, then DD started crying and had to be rocked, got her settled down and DS1 started crying and got out of bed. I'd 1000x rather deal with MOTN feedings than nap issues. Mommy needs time out! It's illegal not to give people at least a 10-15 minute break...I'm much better at my job when I get one. Sigh.

FIL is from Cleveland and my sister lives there now. We're in NW Ohio. DH is a big Cleveland fan. Last night he woke me up to tell me the news. He was giddy. Waited his whole life for this!!!

Born and raised here too! My whole family had trouble watching the game. The nervous wrecks were all sitting on the deck in my sister's backyard until the last 15 minutes. It was too much for them to handle! Lol, I'm not that invested but it was still amazing to see them win. About time!
Pretty sure I have a clogged milk duct. There's a tender bump on my right breast. I tried massaging it out in shower and I don't think it helped. I have been pumping and that didn't help either. Ugh.

Sorry! I thought I had one this weekend but I think I worked it out. I get weekly emails from Lucie's List and this one was really helpful on how to treat:

I had one almost 2 months ago. I got some great advice from the ladies here. I did warm compresses, massaging the hell out of it in the hot shower. I pumped a lot, too. It didn't take long to get rid of it. I've also heard that taking lecithin pills works miracles because it thins out your milk.
