Italo is an amazing name! I would probably never use a family name, but here is some of the good stuff I would have to work with. Julia Dane Christiane James Aaron

Ugg, I hate it. It was my dad's uncle's name. He went by Buddy, lol.
We'd love to use family names but are finding people are using the unique ones and the popular ones are extremely popular at the moment. Our Family List: Catherine Elizabeth Eva --> poor woman, her whole name was Al.va Eva Isobel Jean Magdalena (hon. Magda) Thérèse -- Alexander Basil (hon. Was.yl) Jack
And the despicable name DH enjoys suggesting: Cl.ovis

My family names consist of: Rose Mary Janie Theresa Grace Ralph (there were 3 of them at one point) Robert Louis MHs side has some good names Genevieve Katherine Annabel Karl Kenneth Marie Rosalie Ronald
My side of the family is predominantly irish. The most out there names aren't that bad. I mean, even the 25 or so great-grandkids all have pretty ordinary names.
But here are some of the
Jan.e Cecel.ia (my paternal great grandmother and name inspiration) Fin.bar She.ila Mu.riel Lots of Johns, Thomases, Marys, and K/Catherines. My maternal grandmother was Kath.erine Agne.s. The sneak was born Catherine, but changed it when she got married because she liked being called Kay.
My coveted girl name is Cecelia Agnes. I just love it.
Honestly, my name is probably the most wild out of the bunch.
H's side I don't know alot about, neither does he. A few names that come to mind are:

My family has far more women than men, so most of the family names are feminine. There are a few surnames I would totally use as first or middle names, but because they are fairly unusual I'm not listing them here.
The Good: Mary-Eleanor Marie-Mathilde Marie-Louise Laura Catherine Adelaide
The Bad: Henrietta LaVerne Viola LeRoy Hazel Mildred Thelma Antoinette
The What were their parents thinking?: Brown Daphen (pronounced Daff-een) Thurston Ara Lomand

We used Matthias for our son's middle name, which is a variation of my grandmother's maiden name.
DH has Caroline, Catherine, Thomas and Charles that I know of.

We chose middle names to honor specific people, so the name was less important than the namesake. That said, my maternal grandmother had an awesome sibset:
Henry Charlotte Marie Mabel
My maternal grandfather had twin brothers named Lloyd and Floyd
I also had a great-great aunt Dorcas but she went by Dot.
Good / ok Margaret (our current first choice girl name) Elisabeth Vera Josephine Mary (girl mn) Marie Catherine Bridget Ellen/Ella/Nellie Dorothea Thomas (DS fn) Michael (DS mn) William (current first choice boy name) John Joseph Louis Charles James
Bad/NMS Vaslav Bartholomew Cyril Elias Denise Antonia Angela Candace Frank (not Francis, just Frank) Dolores
Women: Mae, Anna, Helen, Olga, Donna, Bronislava, Aldona, Frances. I actually like all of these names and one of the more unusual ones is my daughter's middle name.
Men: Walter, Leo, William, Josef. I like all these too. My father (and grandfather) has a horrible name, but I won't put it here because 1) it hurts the eyes and 2) he is like the only person on earth who has this name.

wibblywobbly, what do you mean you are not considering Dorcas?! LOL
cabbagecabbage, I'm amazed that there was a second person on here with Dorcas. That just cracks me up.
We didn't really consider many family names, not because we dislike the names but because we aren't/weren't close with the actual people and don't have that connection with them. But here are some of their names if we had-
Arthur, Alfred, Walter, Kenneth, Donald, Edward, Oscar, George, Carl Louisa, Mary, Adeline, Gloria, Jenny, Ruth, Evelyn, Priscilla, Beverly Really nothing weird or terrible and those go back to 1860.

We have girls, so I'm only putting that list: Nancy Elda Ann Barbara Helen Minerva Francis Mary Ruth Janet Gloria
Both our girls ended up with family names that we didn't realize were family names. More extended family, but it was nice to find out since we wanted family names. Those names are not on the above list.
