Which is the best month to be born during?

I don't know what the best month is, but I know a summer bday kind of sucked because you never got to bring cupcakes and friends were sometimes vacationing when your party happened. I was also the youngest, which now is cool, but sucked to be the last to drive!

DD1 is beginning of June and so far that's perfect. Weather is perfect, friends are still around. I'm an August baby and I only ever had 1-2 friends over because of vacations. I am the youngest of all my friends so that sucked the summer we all turned 18.

I think a Spring birthday or early fall would be nice but as a mom, I'm happy E was born in the fall! Means she is old enough to wear sunscreen and enjoy her first summer

Eta: my birthday is in October. I don't mind it! Something that bothers me about the late fall birthdays is the competition with the holidays.

I went with May/June because it's far enough away from the holidays (I feel like Dec and Jan babies get screwed on presents), people are still around and not on vacation and you can celebrate your birthday at school (my bday is the end of June so I never got to )!!

I was born in late July and was always blessed with spectacular birthday weather. It did stink not to be able to have cupcakes with my classmates because my birthday happened during summer vacation, but you only have a few years of school when that matters. Now I drink wine on the beach on my birthday and buy my own cupcakes, so those little annoyances have lost their sting.

For those having babies, I can't say as I'd recommend waiting until the end of July, though - I don't even want to think about being that pregnant in the middle of summer. Better to have it over with by the spring, I think.

I'm July too and I called my mom when pregnant and there were heat waves here to apologize for what she must have gone through with a summer baby! Lol

I'd say late spring/early summer has to be the best, like April-June. I'm a February baby and it SUCKS. Every birthday party canceled because of snow as a kid. It's fine as an adult but still, making plans is difficult because the weather is so tumultuous.

Of course, if you don't live in a cold-weather state it wouldn't matter, and February in Florida might be an awesome time. So it's all relative.

I don't think that the month is as important as the near proximity to a non-mobile holiday. July 4th, Halloween, Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's. I was born the day before the bicentennial (aka officially old in a few weeks) and I have never been able to get a large group together for my bday, or at least the weekend closest. Everyone is already competing with big parties these dates, a birthday is not so special.

So I went and had children within the weeks of Christmas and Halloween. I can only try to make sure they always get a special effort from me for their birthdays since everyone else will be pre-occupied with the main holidays.

I think an March-May birthday would be ideal -- you might run into Easter, Mother's day or Memorial day some years, but not every year. Spring is my favorite!

I love having a May b-day. The weather was usually pretty nice, it's far from the holidays, and we were still in school to celebrate!

I love my November birthday. Here, at least, the weather is usually reasonable and I was one of the older kids in my class. Mine is before thanksgiving but it's cool having it around the holidays. It seems more festive that way.

Not August!!! I hated it, I never got to have a real party because it was over summer break and couldn't get invites to friends/classmates. I lived in the middle of freaking no where so no neighbor kids to invite over either.

I voted May/June cause the weather is nice for parties and it is easier to be pregnant in the winter.

I voted May/June. Because it is halfway from the holidays. My birthday is July 8, and people are always on vacation for my birthday. But Ben's is June 27 (so exactly a week before the 4) and people are usually still around the weekend before his birthday.

Having a September baby kind of sucks. It's nice that she's old enough for sunscreen, but she's going to be so old when she starts K.

I'm a January birthday, and my 3 kids are May, August, and obvs Nov. January is definitely the worst. May is the best. Weather is great, still in school, and it's good for being middle of the road for age in her class (here the cutoff is late, end of Dec). I'm a little wary of A being really young for his class, but I'm sure it's fine. Plus, with a mid-November birthday, planning any type of outdoor party will be dicey here.
